My aportation to this topic,I'll start with the tyrannosaurs  ;) :
Diablotyrannus
Ichthyophaganax
;)
More information when I do,and post the pictures.
Actually, tyrannosaurs are basically finished in spec so I recommend going for things that have not been done yet (for example: I did deep-sea ammonites. Since no-one else came up with anything similar before me, they got accepted).

My first apportation for this series  :) :

Mosaphaganax venator
It's a 2 meter sized, long shelled ammonite that preyed on young mosasaurs. It has a muscle that gives it the abbility of short flight. In the mating season,it gets very unique colors, and shines.
Hope y'all like it  ^-^

Cool! Noe just put it on the forum under pictures and I'm sure it'll get some feedback.

The speculative dino project has a new website: [specworld-project.com]. But this page is in dire need of updates and new creatures. If anyone has created a new creature for spec please describe it or, if you drew it, post a picture. Some clades still need to be started, for instance: Champsosauria, coelocanths, lungfish, elasmosaurs, and pterosaurs, just to name a few ;). To start of, I have created the South-African Molok: an 8 m long priscataur with grotesque-looking, spiny skull decorations made of keratin in males, used for headbutting competitions over mates and territory, they also have tiny, flipper-like front limbs formed of only a flattened, paddle-like humerus and tipped with one laterally flattened claw, it is the top predator in it's environment and hunts mokeles, it is a slow runner, it's scientific name is Afromolok Dracodon. Soon I should be able to post the picture. I will post it both here and in my art thread :).

Um...question. Where did the radius, ulna and wrist bones go? Did they get swallowed by the super humerus?
I may not like feathered dinosaurs and stumpy legged Spinosaurs, but I will keep those opinions to myself, I will not start a debate over it, I promise. 😇

So this thread is about creating descendants of Mesozoic animals if the k/t extinction never happened?

I am re-drawing all of the deep-sea ammonites as well as adding many new species and re-writing my essay on them. So, to start off, here is the re-drawn spider-trap ammonite:

"The world's still the same. There's just less in it."

"The world's still the same. There's just less in it."

This is the much cooler replacement for the smooth angler ammonite:

Anything to say about these three yet?

"The world's still the same. There's just less in it."

Yutyrannus

Thanks! Way more coming still ;). Also, did you ever sign up on the forum?

"The world's still the same. There's just less in it."

Yutyrannus

Here is one of two shallow water species of Volubilivenatoridae (the group all the deep-sea ammonites I've drawn as of yet, though not all deep-sea ammonites that I will draw, belong to):

"The world's still the same. There's just less in it."

Nice! I'm guessing this is drawn on paper? Or is it not?

Okay, I'm currently attempting to convince the original members of the project to drop the baleen-squids and replace them with pachycormid fish because of Bonnerichthys, which I'd forgotten about for a while. Hopefully it works, they tend to be more than a little irritated when "newbies" try to change the original ideas, even if it's supported by evidence ::).
