Wouldn't most frequent poster be the person who posts the most per day?

And that's definitely not me.... ;D

I might be remembering things wrong, but I do miss the old picture heavy threads (figures, artwork etc.)... though I'm not complaining.  I like the current lively (for lack of a better term) discussions.

I'm really glad I found this community.  Here's to more saurians of the plastic, resin or meaty varieties.  Cheers!

There might well be fewer picture heavy threads these days - I think the ordeal with Photobucket put a lot of people off (understandably).

In the history of DTFv2 There are 126 members who have posed more than times than ITdactyl. So, that makes ITdactyl the 127th...what's the word for that? On the forum main page there is a list of "top posters", but "127th top poster" doesn't sound quite right?

I think the most accurate thing you can write for that is 'user with the 127th highest amount of posts'. But "127th top poster" is perfectly fine as well.

Let's go with 127th top poster. Now I know what to inscribe on ITdactyl's medal.  :))

Over the last 10 years the world has become a much darker place to live .  But throughout the years with people still starving and politicians ruining democracy this forum has been like an oasis, a resort, a pub with many friendly,  interesting and inspiring  people where I can go wherever and whenever I want. Thank you and Happy Birthday DTF!

Belated Happy Birthday DTF! :-)

DinoToyForum

Well, we made it! This month is our ten year anniversary!

Thanks to all of you for being part of the Dinosaur Toy Forum, and for making it the vibrant, diverse, and friendly community I always envisioned. Thanks, especially, to the moderators, both active and retired, who have kept the DTF ship sailing straight over the past decade:

Blade-of-the-Moon
Bokisaurus
DinoLord
Himmapaan

Therizinosaurus

Thanks also to our 20 most prolific posters since the inception of DTF v2:

Blade-of-the-Moon

CityRaptor
Amargasaurus cazaui
SBell
Yutyrannus
Jetoar
Sauroid
Roselaar
Arul
Postsaurischian
Balaur
Tanystropheus
Patrx
Concavenator

You could be considered the heart of the forum. ;) However, I want to thank everyone who has ever contributed to the community, whether it was just a single post or several hundred, it all adds up, and I appreciate every one.

Since the major companies are showing no signs of stopping, and new dinosaur toy companies are surfacing every year, it looks like we have another fascinating decade of dinosaur toys ahead of us to enjoy... together!

So, here's to the last ten years of dinosaur collectibles and palaeontology talk, and here's to the future of the Dinosaur Toy Forum!

ceratopsian

Congrats, everyone, and thanks to Doc Admin for bringing this blog and forum to life in the first place! It's amazing how fast time goes by, even though I've "only" been here for nine years. Here's to the future!

Halichoeres

In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

10 years, wow! It's one heck of an achievement, and has undoubtedly contributed to the the improvement we're seeing in models of prehistoric animals, through member interactions, support, discussion and communication with the toy companies ^-^ And also, the ability to acquire these models through international news and trade! This forum has brought collectors from across the world together. It's a pleasure to be a part of. Congratulations, and thank you!

 :D Hurra!

I have just had a look over to DTF v.1 to see that I joined on Apr 27, 2010 at 3:28am.
I'm gonna be eight soon :).

It's a pleasure and a privilege to be part of this community. I am delighted to be able to share my thoughts on all these toys with like-minded people.

I've never been one for celebratory words, but I must say it's always quite remarkable when I really think about just how long the DTF has been around, ten years is a most impressive milestone.

Neosodon

Huge thanks to Dr. Admin and all the people who kept this forum going for the last 10 years! Wish I could have been here since the start but considering how annoying my 11 year old self was it's probably a good thing I wasn't.

"3,000 km to the south, the massive comet crashes into Earth. The light from the impact fades in silence. Then the shock waves arrive. Next comes the blast front. Finally a rain of molten rock starts to fall out of the darkening sky - this is the end of the age of the dinosaurs. The Comet struck the Gulf of Mexico with the force of 10 billion Hiroshima bombs. And with the catastrophic climate changes that followed 65% of all life died out. It took millions of years for the earth to recover but when it did the giant dinosaurs were gone - never to return." - WWD

Happy Birthday DinoToyForum! I bet Dr. Admin is having a party with his Plesiosaur collection lol!  ;D

i've been a member of this forum for eight continuous years (V.1/V.2) and have never been absent even for a single day. (except for very very minor unpleasantness with just a handful of people [the genuinely cool folks outnumber them anyway]) this forum is a haven for me and always a pleasure to browse through. i just wish i was here right from the start. kudos DTF and Dr. Admin and all the members.
