Wow, The Dinosaur Toy Blog is five years old this month. The first ever post went live on the 14th July 2007. How time flies, and how things have changed! Back then, before we had our own domain, the blog entries consisted of little more than a single sentence and a publicity shot - it can be quite an embarrassment to look back but one has to start somewhere I suppose! The style and content of the articles, and the layout and look of the blog in general, has evolved considerably over the years. For the better by far in my opinion. Now each entry is an enjoyable and valuable resource (I hope!).

The success of the blog is the result of a real team effort. I must thank everyone who has contributed to the site in the last five years: not only the excellent authors/writers/editors, but also the commentators, voters, supporters, and every visitor for that matter. Without you, the site wouldn't be the same and there's no way I would be able to maintain it on my own. I can only hope that the next five years will see just as much success, and the blog will continue to grow. 8)

My apologies, by the way, to contributors who find it sometimes takes me an age to post/edit their reviews - thank you for your patience. 

On a side note, The Dinosaur Toy Forum opened shortly after the blog, but will also be five years old in January 2008. I wonder if we should have some sort of birthday/anniversary celebration?

Yes, nothing is as powerful as a great idea at the right time! We can really be proud of the evolution of the DTB!

I just realised it the tenth anniversary of the Dinotoyblog this month! Ten years :o

In January 2018 the Dinotoyforum will also be a decade old (if we include forum version 1).
