Is there any way I could just delete my current collection thread? The majority of the photos on there are just group shots of all my childhood toys, and I think this would be a great opportunity to make a new, clean thread with my favorite dinos. HERE is the thread that could be deleted!

Same question. My collection thread has become useless now, I might as well start from scratch and let the old one die...

I understand the reasoning but I'd like to keep the old collection threads because they also contain reactions and discussion. However, I wouldn't mind locking old threads so you can start new collection threads. I'd just prefer to keep the old ones for perpetuity, even with the Photobucket images deleted. Maybe you can update the old collection thread titles with dates and post a link to the new thread? Something like "My collection thread [2012-2017]" in the title, and "See my new collection thread here: link" in the last post.

I think I will do just that, then. It feels like more of a hassle trying to restore everything, than just starting over with new photos. I can't even view some of my photos in my Photobucket library?? Many that I have uploaded are not saved on my current computer, so this is completely infuriating. >:( Time to start purging my posts, then...

edit: broken PB images have been removed from all my posts! I will just start posting new images in my current collection thread eventually.

Thanks! It is awful the you can't access some of your own images. Every click on their site makes Photobucket a little more money.

Don't worry, I've no plans to shut the forum, but I won't be around forever.

Good that you're younger than me ;D.

Perhaps I need to leave the DTF in my will to someone I trust :o I'd like for it to be around and administered as long as the internet still exists...

I had a Facebook for ten years, but I got rid of it a year and a half ago. I much prefer the DTF, regardless of downtime.

I still have Facebook, but I'm definitely more active here than there.

Guess that would also serve my purposes. It would be a shame to let all the comments disappear after all.

Go ahead and lock it. I'll start a new one and refer to the old one in my first post. Thanks in advance!

OK, but don't wait for me to lock the old thread before you start a new one.

The upload site I use is this one:
http://abload.de/

It's free to join and costs you no money.
non members can also upload images these will be removed after 6 months.

Thought I'd add this, since there are some Dutch / Germain & Austrian people here that can read and understand German just fine.
That site does have an English part afaik tho.

I removed all the defunct Photobucket avatar pics. You can add a new pic the same way you did the first time. Just edit your profile accordingly.  :)

Doug Watson

Just finished restoring images on pages 6 & 7 of my collection thread, Marx Flintstones, Sinclair, Wade, Brooke Bond, Jonas, ROM, Kleinwelka & Invicta.
Still a long way to go, a curse on Photobucket.

Well, I guess PB has now caught up with me >:( Now, I can't share photos anymore >:( I had been paying $40 a year for a while when I needed more space.
So far, my old photos in all my threads are still there, so I am hoping that since I already paid for one more year, that they will keep them active and not take them down. I guess time will tell.
SOOOOO, right now since I am overwhelmed by choices of what to do next, I am trying a few site to use.
In time, I should start my collection thread as I find time to start the process of rounding up my collection.
Of all my collection/figure threads, the two I am most worried about are my March of the Titans sauropod thread and Thundering Herd ceratopsian thread the most :(
Wish me luck and stay tuned!

sauroid

you should start converting your photos to postimage asap before it's too late. :o

Postimage deleted all my images just a few days ago, I asked them the reason and haven't got any answer after several messages. I guess I'm not going to use it anymore, I will only post images which are already uploaded, won't do any upload myself anymore.

@Bokisaurus: would be awesome to have a proper collection thread from you, I just can't say which collection is the best between yours and postsaurischian's. You're also on par when it comes to photography skills, both great.

there is indeed an issue. i think you're not the only one going throught this Reptilia.
*postimage users should all check their posts.*

Do you have an account on Postimage? I have one and all my stuff is fine. Been using for about a month now.

sauroid

i've looked at a lot of DTF members' threads and their pics arent showing either incl. yours TQ (robingoodfellow's photos are visible though).

My most recent ones, or the older ones? Because I haven't replaced all my old PB links yet (there is a LOT of stuff to replace and I just haven't gotten off my butt to do it). If it's the newer ones (like the stuff I posted yesterday, via PostImage) I'm worried.

postsaurischian's and mine don't show up either. oh well...

i'm thinking that maybe the site is having an issue. i see other member's pic posts are still up but im not sure if theyre using PI as photo host.

I can see your photos Sauroid, and postsaurischian's too and I never got so see TQ's Apatosaurus photo yesterday but know I do . Mine are up still as well, this is weird I hope it's something on the site and that it's fixable.

Right now I can see all pictures of every member mentioned here. This is not the first time Postimage's pictures don't show up. It happened a few times before - especially with my pics. So I thought it was a personal problem of my PI account or my computer. Sometimes I got a message saying that it's because of maintenance. I guess (hope) that's the reason. Not sure if I'd be willing to go through all this re-uploading again ...
