***As of 7/25/2017 all Photobucket images are removed, with no current plans of replacing them. I will begin posting new photos on Page 3 soon~***

Having sort of a gloomy day, so I figured I might as well take some pics of my dinos.  Most of my stuff is from my childhood with the majority being Jurassic Park related.  I've got a bunch of Imperials, Playskool, Larami and a few Tyco that aren't shown, as they're currently still stashed away at my parent's house.  As for all the JP merchandise, I don't have anything on display currently, so I also left out my compound, JP2 trailer, vehicles, capture gear and human figures, etc... Sorry for the poor quality on some of these pics, I'm afraid I have shaky camera hands >_<!

First up, JP raptors...

Various other JP's...

Some scaly raptors...

including the Jasman "Raptor Pack!"

Some of the crazy "Chaos Effect" JP splices:

Various Tyco's (mine are from the museum line, not the dino-riders)

Misc:

The small beginnings of my Rex collection... hoping to expand!

The ever-imposing Tyco Tyrannosaur <3

And my personal favorite, the JP Bull T Rex (+with baby ;))

Some other JP merchandise:

Annnd, I'm currently digging up a Stegosaurus, as well!  Tyrannosaurus is next.  I realize these are meant for children, but I've always wanted to do these, so too bad!  >:D

You're not alone! ;) I've gone through a few of these little dig kits too - Ah, the satisfaction of removing a big chunk of 'matrix' in one go.

Good to hear!  It's also quite relaxing to slowly scrape away at it.  Really looking forward to unearthing all the parts.

I forgot to photograph one of my Rexes earlier... I couldn't resist picking her up while in Chicago a few years back.  :))  Definitely want to go back and get some more loot (and pictures)!

ZoPteryx

Very nice collection Paleona!  I like how you used the JP game board as a background! :)

Thanks, guys.  I'm really hoping to branch out from JP (though I do still need to get my hands on the Red Rex and Thrasher!).  It seems I have a lot of catching up to do, after rarely buying anything since my childhood!

Also, I completed my small stego dig yesterday-

For just a tiny dig kit, I'm pretty pleased with the result- the pegs are hidden rather well.

Roselaar

Looks good!:)  That Jasman Raptor pack is pretty cute, I should get one myself.

A belated "thanks", Roselaar.  ^-^  The Raptor Pack really is pretty cute with them all together- their grins look like they're plotting something.

Instead of spamming this thread, I've actually gone and made a tumblog to document my growing T. Rex collection:

Please do post away! It's your thread, you won't be spamming at all!  :D

It's been a looong time since I've posted around here, haha, but I felt like sharing some recent and not-so-recents gets!  I think my photography/editing skills have improved a bit since I last posted  :))

First up are some tiny dinos from my childhood.  There was a blog post about these a while back, but the photos were kind of lacking; here are pics of all the Micro Machines National Geographic minis!  (minus the set with the skeletons) They obviously aren't the most up to date, but I still think they're nicely detailed and pretty charming.

Since I'm a big JP fan, I couldn't resist buying all of the "raptor squad" a month before JW was released!

I also got a couple other really nice JP figures recently.  First, the Kenner Utahraptor <3  In GREAT condition- very minimal paint rubs, the electronics and kicking action still working perfectly, too.

Also snagged the more recent Allosaurus that was released a couple years back.  Really awesome sculpt.

Apart from JP, I really want to add more accurate dinosaurs to my collection.  There are a bunch on my list, but I picked up two beauties from a local hobby shop yesterday!  :)

Schleich really outdid themselves with this Kentrosaurus.  The pose is so dynamic and fluid, and the detailing is very nice.  It's been my favorite of the stegosaurs since I was a kid- the old Tyco Kentro is to thank for that.

I'm so glad the store I went to had this Safari Nasutoceratops in stock, too.  Such a beautiful little figure!  It looks amazing from every angle.

Happy collecting everyone!  I'm sure I'll have more to share soon enough  :))

Those Micro Machines guys are adorable.
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

That Jp Allosaurus is so good! I wish it wasn't so difficult to get! Great collection!

Very nice coollectio Paleona  :)

[Off Nick and Eddie's reactions to the dinosaurs] Oh yeah "Ooh, aah", that's how it always starts. But then there's running and screaming.

{about the T-Rex) When he sees us with his kid isn't he gonna be like "you"!?

Excellent collection! I see you have the Papo Raptor v1. Congrats! :) The JP Allo is very nice too.

I like these shots a lot:

Thanks, everyone!

Dinomike - Yeah, I regretted not searching for that Allo when it was in stores.  Just gotta watch eBay for a deal to pop up!

joossa - Thank you!  I bought the Papo v1 raptor back when it was new at a local store.  I didn't realize it's becoming hard to find now!  It's definitely nicer than the second release based off the JP/// raptor.  Haha, that's funny you should point out those two pics- old and new raptor squads!

Went through a big box full of my childhood dino toys- I don't display these, but I'm definitely keeping them for nostalgia's sake.  :)
Please excuse the quality of some of these photos... got a cloudy day here and photography isn't my strong point!

Old Imperials!  These were probably among my first dino toys.

I remember my dad would bring me home the large Larami playsets, too... it's a shame I don't have the cardboard backdrop these came with.  These are all highly nostalgic for me, but looking at them now... a lot of them are kind of nightmare fuel!  :)) lol  The Styracosaurus is incredibly ugly and the Parasaurolophus looks like an alien.  That Para was among my favorites, though, for some reason; I've always loved Paras!

Some Playskool Definitely Dinosaurs.  The Struthiomimus' arm popped off, hence the bandaid, haha.

Before Jurassic Park came along, the "premium" toy line I had was the Tyco Smithsonian dinos.  I still really love their eyes.

Some misc. chinasaurs:

I actually really love the big Plateosaurus- it's such a cool, big figure.  The pose is really neat, too.  I distinctly remember picking him out at the store years ago.

I've been taking some nicer photos of my favorite figures lately, to make a sort of visual catalogue of my personal collection.  Pretty sure I've finally mostly outgrown my "awesomebro" phase, and am much more interested in model accuracy.  Anyway, here are a few pics!

Since the Carnegie and Battat rexes are both in 1:40 scale, they match up pretty nicely.  I still like this Carnegie "red rex", but I think the pose is kind of awkward.  She balances perfectly on two feet, though!

I'll have to take a pic of the two together. :)

Recently picked up the Battat Dacentrurus, too... found one with carefully painted eyes!  Noticed that I really like stegosaurs quite a bit.

A few other misc. shots:

Paleona, with the Indominus opening the door for purely fictional dinos, you should really do reviews of those crazy Chaos Effect mutants! They'd be a great addition to the Jurassic Park section.

And reviews for some of those Tyco dinosaurs too!

Oh yeah, there aren't many (if any?) reviews of the Chaos Effect line are there?  The only one from my childhood is the Amargospinus, the others were bought later at a garage sale. :)  I'll have to pull them out and pick one for a review!

I was also thinking of reviewing the Tyco Dimetrodon, since he hasn't gotten any blog-time yet, either.  He was always one of my favorites from the line.  I submitted a review for the Kentrosaurus- hopefully it's up to standards!
