A little bit influenced by the Field Museum Sue,  it seems.

More Collecta Deluxe. Some definite improvement over the previous batch here.

Reptilia

Is that an Amargasaurus? If so, there's another one worse than Papo's!

No. The sauropod is agustinia by CollectA.

Collecta's amargasaurus is much better than Papo's, although what spoils it a lot is its war paintings and perhaps the modeling of the head from my humble opinion. For me it was one of my favorite amargasaurus that of Collecta until I got the one from Safari.

On the other hand the amargasaurus Papo is perhaps not the best that this brand has done although I think it is even less graceful Geoworld amargasaurus.  :D

Yeah, it was Agustinia. Incorrect rendition of that species, I know, but it looks gorgeous, apart from the doofus head which almost appears kitbashed from some Playskool line... ::)

Some awesome Lost World vehicles. There's a colour variant of the Net Trapper which sports a grey net as opposed to a black one, which was only found in Germany for some reason. Just sayin'.

Halichoeres

Yeah, seriously what is up with that Agustinia's head? It's awful!

It's unknown from fossil remains so they gave it a potato head instead  :P

Old Collectasaurs. Back when they were still called Proconsaurs. Things only got better after these.

Some stuff. The eggs are likely still fondly remembered by many a forum member here.

Of course, seeing the dinosaurs and prehistoric animals of Collecta today compared with the prehistoric animals they made in their dark age, it is as if they belonged to another different company.

The styracosaurus standard compared to the styracosaurus Deluxe 2017 is a difference in favor of styracosaurus 2017 Collecta and so we could talk about the rest of the figures. And I have to emphasize that the standard styracosaurus of its dark age is by far the best that there is in this group and I say it with all the respect that I deserve to the Collecta brand, with respect to its animals of the dark period, but ¡ what a difference with the current prehistoric animals!

The only thing I want to emphasize seeing those photographs that Collecta has evolved a lot since then until now in a very short space of time. It is as if I had evolved from the australophitecus to homo sapiens immediately in a leap without mediating successive stages. Collecta has done a titanic job. It is a difference between night and day metaphorically speaking.  8)  :)

More old Collectasaurs, just a bit more recent that the previous batch. There's some slight improvement going on here.

The ones I like most about this group are olorititan, liopleurodon and ouranosaurus. Thank you for your photos Roselaar.  :)

Now here's a piece of personal nostalgia. These little critters came with delicious dinosaur shaped cookies back in the original JP days. The cookies are still produced, even though released by a different manufacturer. And they still taste like once they did. Unfortunately, they don't come with little figures anymore, which is too bad because I don't own the entire line yet...

From known companies in the West after the discontinuation of Invicta's muttaburrasaurus, Collecta's muttaburrasaurus is the only one that is still in mass production, it is one of my favorites of this group.

As far as the standard brachiosaurus is concerned, it is much better than its Deluxe version and it is very reminiscent of the brachiosaurus that the company Mojo made later is another of my favorites.

As for the achelosaurus for me, it was impressive for the company Collecta to make one and I would like it to one day make a Deluxe size one.

On the other hand psittacosaurus is another great figure despite its size, as far as sarcosuchus is one of the best that exist in the market along with that of the company Mojo.  :)

Roselaar

Agreed on all points. :)

Now here's one of the coolest JP sets ever. The Allosaurus is a wonderful figure with lots of gory dino damage. I love it!

Are those the ones that came with LU biscuits? I believe there was a gorgonopsian in the set, and I've always wanted to get a better look at it, since I've only ever seen a really grotty picture. But it seems you don't have that one, alas! Still, cool that you have as many as you have!
