I remember when I bought in 2012 "The Encyclopedia of Dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures" in the children's section of the Casa del Libro de Gran Vía in Madrid. It's a super-book, I'm glad Roselaar that aside from the rest of the books you've managed to buy that one.

It is very enlightened and a lot of information comes not only from dinosaurs but from prehistoric animals.

For my part I am waiting for the book of the art of the dinosaur: illustrations by the top paleoartists in the world that will come to me at the latest this next week or the next. I am waiting for it with impatience since the illustrators are first class and apart from this of last generation.

Roselaar

Large Collecta Triceratops. It's probably good for both my wallet and my shelf space that Collecta doesn't make figures this big any more. Though a Sauropod in this scale...  ^-^

Shonisaurus

It is a great figure of the Collecta triceratops with its tyrannosaurus in regard to size and even quality and I congratulate you Roselaar and I admire you in my case are the only figures with many fossils Collecta company that I have never bought a said brand.

I'm interested in Collecta's big size triceratops and tyrannosaurus, but the problem with that collection is that it's too big and if I bought or brought those dinosaurs, I'm totally sure that my family and in my case I would be kicked out of the dinosaurs' house. I am glad that members of the forum have it since they are spectacular figures.

Roselaar

Yeah, their size is an issue for me as well. But boy, this Trike looks great!

Some lovely Paposaurs and a lousy Tylosaurus. What were they thinking on the last one?!

Shonisaurus

The Papo tylosaurus would be a great figure in the eighties or early nineties but at the time it was produced it was not the marine reptile that in my case I wanted from Papo. I hope they make a mosasaurus based on the JP movie.

Tyrannosaurus running from Papo do not spend the years for him in regards to genius. And the pups of Tyrannosaurus, although somewhat puerile (I say this with all due respect to the company and the sculptor) are in a certain way very tender and because of the detailedness of them, worthy of having both a child and a collector.  :)

Sega Stegosaurus. Fabulous figure, but sadly the tail doesn't properly fit in its socket...

Hey nice catch, yet I find the anatomy kind of out of place here, the ultra thin legs and the fat torso xD
Unless these were made morely to be dinosaurs from a very artistic viewpoint?

The one I have is it's little brother; the Sega Kentrosaurus, which is this little guy:

Which has a similar artistic style, but very pointy in a sense and an opposite image to your Sega Stegosaurus :)
Never expected a game console company making artistic dino models, unless they had a video game these dino's were a part of?
And then the daring colors they used.

I sincerely like the colors of Sega's kentrosaurus very funny and at the same time very colorful colors.

Hey thanks  :)
And Yeaps it's fabulous looking yet cute as well :+

Roselaar

That Kentrosaurus is neat, dont't have one myself. It's from the regular line of medium sized Dinosaur King action figures I believe? Those are very different in style from their large counterparts, except for the insane colour schemes. The large Stegosaurus is arguably Sega's most excentric figure. It's feels very out of place next to their more orthodox Rex and Trike of the same line. Which is probably why it wasn't repainted over and over again, like those two figures were.

Speaking of excentricities:

PhilSauria

Something strangely appealing about that Stegosaur with the purple plates. The stylized treatment sort of emphasizes just how bizarre this animal looks. Love to have one of these but don't like my chances of ever finding one. Ah, the same old story...

Roselaar

A different kind of JP action figure. Shame they never made any more of these. Probably for the best, considering shipping costs and import taxes...

Bokisaurus

Congrats on that SEGA Stego, that is the one figure from the set that I don't have, it's beautiful.

Roselaar

Chaos Effect had some JP vehicles, too. These are not so outrageous as the rest of the line, they work well as park construction and maintenance vehicles.

Some Schleich, nothing special:

I disagree. Talking about the Big Al, and the Spino, they have its own charm. I loved them when I adquired them many years ago.

They are going to stay in my permanent collection.

Shonisaurus

In my case both the Schleich spinosaurus of the Humbold Museum in Berlin and the allosaurus of the same collection, I like them more than their predecessors and successors in the toy market in regard to that company. In my case both the spinosaurus and the allosaurus of Schleich shown in your picture were the best that were made of that brand from my honest point of view. I also have them on my Roselaar shelves.

What I liked best about Schleich from his old era was that they made huge dinosaurs and apart from that they had Hans the comparative doll and the hallmark of the Humbold Museum. In my case in the physical store of the Museum of Natural Sciences of Madrid I always arrived in October and I can affirm that they encouraged me a lot to start the work period after the summer holidays. I have good memories of that company.

Megalosaurus

I agree with Shonisaurus.
Also the Replicasaurus line produced the best figures in Schleich prehistoric catalog.

Are you planning on opening the box or will you keep it MIB? It would be great to see pics of how it poses.

I would love to, but by now it's pretty rare, so I better keep it this way. Plenty of pics and vids online to see more details.

Another boxed figure then, boxed still. Plus some little loose samples.
