Nature artical (open sorce) : https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-017-08658-8

I haven't even read the artical yet. I just saw it and was like "yep... this is the greatest thing in the world right now"

Reptilia

Well, looks like an interesting creature indeed.

CityRaptor

Anyone else thinking of the 60s version of The Lost World now?
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

I've seen Therizinosaurus, I've seen Deinocheirus, I've seen Yi qi... but that thing's just weird.

Anyone else think the dorsal verts in the skeletal restoration are suspiciously straight?

Cityraptor: you're right. The horns are practically the same shape and position as the ones glued to different iguanas and monitors!

Mononykus

That is definitely a cool creature! And its pretty complete (mostly just missing the feet)

Now we just need a model of it.

Yeah that's just a bad skeletal. The posture is out of whack all over the place.

Halichoeres

I came here to post this :)

Who will be first to make a toy version? I might have said Bullyland if they still made the cool Triassic stuff.
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

Reptilia

First toy version of this creature? I would bet on Rebor, the thing looks enough distinctive and potentially very awesomebro.

Silvanusaurus

We just need some wings on this bad boy and then we're really cooking.

Faelrin

I like it. Although I must state the obvious in how it reminds me of Carnotaurus and ceratopsians a bit.

Now that is one crazy looking critter!  :o  I really wish we had a field guide type book to these diverse and obscure archosauromorphs/formes.
