This model is so beautiful that I thought it needed a mention.

The colors look WWD inspired. Great model but the arms look on the small side.

"3,000 km to the south, the massive comet crashes into Earth. The light from the impact fades in silence. Then the shock waves arrive. Next comes the blast front. Finally a rain of molten rock starts to fall out of the darkening sky - this is the end of the age of the dinosaurs. The Comet struck the Gulf of Mexico with the force of 10 billion Hiroshima bombs. And with the catastrophic climate changes that followed 65% of all life died out. It took millions of years for the earth to recover but when it did the giant dinosaurs were gone - never to return." - WWD

Originally Shane Foulkes sculpted that resin kit for a limited 15 pieces edition, years ago:

Urzeitshop has bought the molds so this beautiful model can see the light of day again for many collectors.
I'm a big fan of that resin kit so I immediately did an order after the model re-appeared on the german shop.

You can see different color interpretations  (past and present) here:

p.s Front legs aren't too short; Postosuchus walked on rear legs only; most of the toy figures of it (Safari, Toyway, etc..) are simply wrong...  ::)

Interesting! So Postosuchus was actually kind of dinosaur like in appearance. One more thing WWD got wrong though.

It is indeed a really nice model. Anyone knows of Urzeitshop is going to sell this also as a kit, or only as painted models?

Before my order I sent an email to Urzeitshop asking for info.
Miron said that the Shane Foulkes Postosuchus will be sold as a finished model only.
No kit.
Now Urzeitshop has the exclusive upon the molds.
But you can request a custom color scheme before the order.
Usually Urzeitshop send kits to Mr. Martin Garratt or Mr. Vitali Klatt for finishing.
The price for a custom painted model is 389 euro + shipping.
I've been searching for the original 15 pieces limited edition kit on Ebay for years but I've never found one ( in Europe).
Maybe you will be more lucky than me....

Mackeral

Thanks for the anwer RobinGoodFellow.
I asked because i enjoy painting high-end dino kits and costum paintjobs are too expensive for me (although artists like Garrat and Foulkes ask fairly little for their outstanding work).
Too bad the Postosuchus won't be available as a kit, but i look forward to my Hypacro and Ankylo kits by Shane.
I hope Urzeitshop will get more casting rights on models, expecially retired ones.
I hope you will find a original kit on the bay some day and enjoy your finished model :)

I did my research on this model by speaking to the worlds formost authority (who lives in Texas )on Postosuchus and I can assure you the front limbs are correct. they functioned more like mini pogo sticks the fingers where almost nubs and the Paw of the hand was more of a pad. Postosuchus on TV is not a scientific source. I wish this model could have been around longer with more castings offered. it would have sold very well.
Bringing back the world of Dinosaurs one sculpt at a time!

On Urzeitshop also the second Postosuchus ( the one in the first post) painted by Martin Garratt is gone.
My Post is quite similar, just a little darker.
There are  two finished models painted by Vitali Klatt yet available.
I'm happy that the figure is selling quite well because it's a really wonderful model.
And the first accurate Postosuchus on the market.

Hello Reptilia,
thank you for posting pictures and the link of the Postosuchus model.   :)
Here is a picture of 2 Postosuchus, one painted by Martin Garratt and one painted by Vitali Klatt.
Both versions have glass eyes installed.

For all of you outside of Europe, who are wanting a Postosuchus model.
If you order a Postosuchus model you don't have to pay the 19% german VAT. The VAT will be substracted, so your price would be 326,89 Euro, plus shipping.

Hello Miron,

I can post pictures for you.

I've  bought the first Postosuchus painted by Martin Garratt on Urzeitshop and I'll post more pictures of it on my collection thread when I'll receive it (the package is still in transit to Italy now).

Here the instruction to post pictures on the Forum:

It's very important NOT to use Photobucket because it has recently disabled the free hosting system and now it's useless.

Best Regards

Hello Fabio,

thank you for posting some more pictures of the Postosuchus model. :-)

Well, I have posted the picture you can view following this link:

I use Google Drive.

I could see the picture in my post, but 2 days after my posting the picture was gone.
Pretty strange.

..sorry, I don't know the reason...
All I can say is that I didn't see your pictures from the first time you posted.
Now I can't see your avatar picture nor your signature pictures.
Maybe there's some issue between GoogleDrive and DTF.
I'm using Flickr.
Others members are using Postimages or DeviantArts.

The image URLs you used were the URLs for a user logged into your Google Drive account. They can't be externally linked, and you will only be able to see it when you are logged in. There should be an option to copy the permanent image location (either by right clicking or with a share button), which would yield a location name ending in .jpg or .tif or whatever format you uploaded.

Hello Halichoeres,
thank you for your explanation.
I've tried, but I can't find an address that is ending on .jpg.
Looks like Google Drive works differently.
Well, here is another try.
I hope the picture won't disappear again.

Same picture (using Flickr):

Today I received my Postosuchus and it's even better (and bigger.. ::) ) than released pictures.  8)
It will be in my collection thread soon.

Oh, Google Drive does work differently. I don't think you're going to be able to do it unless you make the folder that it's in public.

..sorry, it's an old thread (I know..  :-\ ) but on Flickr I found this quite accurate reconstruction of a Postosuchus from a themed-park called "Dinolandia" :

(BTW,Do someone know where is "Dinolandia" ? )
