You know I really hope this year the dinosaurs colors stay away from brown and yellow.  I want some green, blue, and reds on some of the dinosaurs.  Not saying they look bad, it been the same color palette for awhile.

That's ironic considering your avatar, just sayin'  ;)

PaleoMatt

How about amphibians...

...you can put the weapons away people.

But seriously I want a Koolasuchus.

Shhhh.... don't look at the avatar. Wait there blue on the Tyrannosaurus.  ;D

Are you allowed to say if you did or did not make the Mastodon? They sorta showed it in there YouTube video.  Or do you have to wait until they reveal the Mastodon?

stargatedalek

While I certainly wouldn't mind a year avoiding the "typical" non-avian dinosaurs especially after such a great batch last year an entirely mammalian year would be very disappointing. Turtles, fish, lizards, amphibians and even avian dinosaurs are even less represented than mammals are.

Takama

I thinko it would be nice if Safari would focus on just Herbivorus dinosaurs for the year and let the carnivores be the Mammals.

No I can't state any specifics until pieces are officially revealed and named. I can say that I did five of the blurry pieces in the sneak peak video, I may need new glasses.

I'd love to see really any prehistoric invertebrate, amphibian, fish, reptile, or bird not already done before. There's so much out there other then dinosaurs and mammals I'd like to see made. In particular I'd really like to see figures of Tiktaalik, Tanystropheus, Hallucigenia, Moschops, any Eurypterid, and/or the Tully Monster. I also agree with the suggestion of Koolasuchus. At least there was the Scutosaurus and Inostrancevia for a time as well.

Edit: I'd like to see a Diplocaulus made too.

i think it's about time that Safari Ltd or any major brands made an Estemmenosuchus figure. it's long overdue.

It would be great a estemmenosuchus is one of my favorite figures of prehistoric animals that are not dinosaurs along with the uintatherium.

Five??!?!? I'm gonna have to give it another watch!!

Re-evaluating some of the pics I think it's possible that the kangaroos might be Giant Short-Faced Kangaroos... Also, I think the fourth photo for America must be something prehistoric, but I can't tell what. Maybe a theropod looking directly at the camera?

sauroid

i am also hoping that someday either Safari Ltd. or CollectA would make Procoptodon, Elasmotherium and Sivatherium figures.

Don't forget I have done more extant than extinct animals for Safari Ltd. :)

It looks like just a regular Kangaroo to me.  It would be cool if they did. But I think Southlands Repicas would make one before Safari.  As they are right now only really doing  Australian animals.

Why has the coolest looking animal never been made in toy form?

I think we can expect a few of the old Carnegie models to be brought over to the new line. An updated Triceratops and Allosaurus would be my best guess, plus at least one of Ankylosaurus and Stegosaurus. I'm leaning more towards Ankylosaurus at the moment given that Sauropelta is the only ankylosaurian currently in the Wild Safari line. I can see them doing a new Euoplocephalus instead though, given we're all expecting Ankylosaurus.
Others that I think are due for an update and would translate well to the new aesthetic of the Wild Safari line are Camarasaurus, Styracosaurus, Maiasaura, Pteranodon (especially since we had a new Quetzalcoatlus last year), Baryonyx and Amargasaurus.
I'd also like to see them take a shot at species such as Ornithocheirus, Megalosaurus, Struthiomimus, Centrosaurus, Alioramus, Tenontosaurus and Australovenator.
That being said, this is my expected 2018 lineup for Safari Ltd.:

Updated figures:
Allosaurus
Triceratops or Styracosaurus
Ankylosaurus, Stegosaurus or Euoplocephalus
Baryonyx
Camarasaurus or Amargasaurus
A classic (1980's-early 1990's) figure (Dimetrodon? Maiasaura? Protoceratops? Australopithecus?)
One of the feathered dinosaurs from the mid-2000's, this time with accurate feathers (probably Oviraptor)
Possibly an accurate Deinosuchus if we're lucky

New figures:
Daeodon
Mastodon
A ceratopsian (Regaliceratops is the popular choice but I think something classic like Centrosaurus or Chasmosaurus)
An eosauropterygian (probably a plesiosauroid)
A pterosaur (maybe a grounded Hatzegopteryx to go with last year's Quetzalcoatlus in flight?)
Some kind of largeish theropod (Metriacanthosaurus? Rajasaurus? I don't think we've had an abelisaur from Safari that's not Carnotaurus)
Possibly a large ornithopod, especially if they don't do an updated Maiasaura

Faelrin

An accurate Deinocheirus was done last year though. https://www.safariltd.com/deinocheirus

I do like that list however. I would like to see those listed to be remade/updated, and some of those not done before by Safari.
