A new and very exciting fossil discovery! An excerpt from the article; Researchers say the 70-million-year-old specimens are the first known example of dinosaurs sleeping in a group, a behaviour called communal roosting. Many modern species, including crows and bats, engage in the practice, which helps animals to regulate their body temperature and avoid predators.

Wow what an amazing discovery. Of course I can't help but feel sad for these poor animals that lost their lives millions of years ago in such a moment, considering the potential circumstances of why they were together, and if or what any relation they may have had in life. It's crazy how much story (and but a peek into their lives), fossils like these can give us. Thanks for sharing.

In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

Amazing and very informative discovery!  Really glad customs officials caught it before it could be smuggled out of the country.

It's very interesting, but I seem to recall something like that was already known. At least it doesn't sound completely new to me.

The article mentions that a handful of previously discovered fossils capture napping dinosaurs, but all show a lone animal. The new fossil suggests that communal roosting developed in animals with rich social lives. A possible reason why there wasn't as much hype around this amazing fossil. The media may be waiting for another amber inclusion before dinosaurs make headlines again!
