Check out this:

Apart from the fact that this is hilarious :)) I believe we can say that Spino looks pretty big here...

"Pinkies out, ladies...!"

............

"Oh, yeah.....um, how about thumbs up instead...?"

*smashed teacup*
....
"..Oh, yeah, ahem. Rexy....you only have t-two...Okay, never mind, girls."

Flaffy

Wow, did not expect it to be larger than the Thrash n Throw...
Now I definitely have to track this down  ;D

A real shame they didn't give it a better paint scheme though, "printed" patterns like they did for the allosaurus would've looked much nicer than this spray paint.

Okay one that pic with the EC T. rex and Allosaurus with that Spinosaurus is adorable. Secondly, that Spinosaurus is pretty big. I mean I'm just looking at my Allosaurus and EC T. rex similarly posed and jeez. I swear that Spinosaurus could end up rivaling the Mosasaurus and the Thrash and Throw rex. I think this is the first time we've seen the markings on its legs too? It looks pretty good (a bit salty about the yellow eyes, but I think I'll fix that when I get mine). This really makes me hope they make an Indominus rex at some point, because it would be great to have it along with this and the T. rex (or alongside the Indoraptor).

To be fair, a more accurate translation of Indoraptor would be "Indian Thief."

Lol it looks like its eye is melting off. Not the first one I've seen where the eye on one of these is painted (or stamped?) in the wrong spot, but this is the first I've seen done like this. Did you buy it or just find it?

That Metria xD It's one of my least favorites from the line, and that mis-stamped eye makes it look even more like a goober, haha~

(p.s. That Spino looks pretty nice! If I see one in-store I might be tempted to buy it ^-^)

avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin It was posted in a FB group I'm in, the poster found it in a store but didn't say which one :)

Again I am led to ponder: what do you think Hasbro is feeling about all this? It's far too soon to talk about sales figures, but in terms of sculpting and quality and play value, Mattel's products have put theirs to complete and utter shame.

I assume that these figures are gonna be big hits with kids...
Since the world is so connected nowadays, kids do tend to have communities online -I guess this can count as one of them- where they can proudly show off their collections and such. I love browsing through those website that load pictures from instagram and stuff and seeing all the JPToys style "dioramas" that kids do with their figures.

So, what I'm saying is that these will sell well- and Hasbro will most likely end up being overshadowed this year, especially when the movie comes out. Maybe it will be competition.

One employee I've spoke with is glad the fans are enjoying them. They have told me they and their team did work really hard on the JW line but then Hasbro execs made cuts and the factory in China ruined them, they were heartbroken over it.  So if anything I hope those execs are chewing on their desks.. ;) :D

Oh, here's an aspect that you guys might want to consider when choosing between the chomping rex and the thrash-and-throw. (If you are).

The chomping rex is rain-friendly.

I again went to Wals to find the BD Trex/monolopho set. No luck. Got tired of the chase and its gonna get really bad weather-wise these next couple weeks down here so I just ordered it online(it was finally back in stock.)

btw has anyone seen the herrerasaurus in person? what do you all think? I...kinda like it.  O:-)

Always important and ironic, since many of the scenes in the first two films featuring the rexes involved rainfall, much to Stan Winston's annoyance.

I got a few things today at a Target. Kind of (early), and my only birthday presents too (unless the rest of the stuff this month I got counts), since my birthday is coming up (the 30th). After several trips to different Targets in the past, this store finally had the single (Legacy) matchbox vehicles in stock, so I had to get the Jeep and Explorer for my collection. I also got the Velociraptor. It was the only one, and I actually liked the coloring on this one this time, compared to ones I saw in a different Target last weekend, and prior that. I did notice it has a tiny paint flaw on the leg after bringing it home, but I kind of like it, since it looks like it has a spot and that makes it unique (it can kind of be made out in my pic below).

My dad's phone camera totally doesn't pick up the coloring properly though. It is a bit more orangey on the body (since it looks yellow here), then it looks (although the arms and head have a darker orange). I don't know why that is, but maybe that's why it looks that way in every video of this figure (and most pictures of it I've seen). Like if using this link (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shades_of_orange#Aerospace_and_safety), as an example, the lighter orange is on the body, and the darker orange is the head and arms. Maybe my phone's camera or my mother's might be able to pick it up more accurately.

That aside I really like the play feature on this figure. I did have a bit of fun trying it out after unboxing it. I noticed it has a better jump when releasing the figure faster.

If Velociraptor was THAT big compared to the cars....boy, Jurassic Park would be a short movie.

Seriously!
I can only think of about 6 scenes in movies 1-4 where a T. rex appears without some kind of water.
Either rain, puddles, a waterfall or a swimming pool.
