Another medal - this time even of higher prestige -

no. 26 - Triceratops- pure silver medal :

As might be guessed from the information sheet holding the coin - this came from a complete Album :

A dedicated set to the
100th anniversary of the opening of the National Museum ( 国立博物館開館 100年記念  )
Paleontology Series "Dinosaurs"  ( 古生物シリーズ「恐竜」 )
fine art pure silver medal collection  ( 美術純銀メダルコレクション )
by Ikuo Kobatake Matsumoto Emblem ( 小畠郁生 松本徽章 )
limited album 50 types set of 18g x 50 sheets

Of course the complete album is impossible to find, or to afford if any ...

But, I do hope to come accross some more individual coins such as :

or those  :

BrontoScorpio

More than 3 years of search since I first notice these items - and I finaly managed to grab some :

3 Ceramic dinosaurs of 'Hai Feng Ma' sold by 'The nature company' :

From the back :

Other than what is written on the under side and what I found on Don Glut's page - I wasn't able to discover any additional information.
That is a shame - because the set is addorable and unique - and I wonder is there any more dinosaurs in it ...

Coming back after few months of silence ...

Got this latest figures from Japan -
The official capsule figures and Figure set Box of the  2023 Dinosaur Expo ( 恐竜博2023  )
held at the National Museum of Nature and Science ( 国立科学博物館 )

Am I the first to have them in hand ? ...
It seems so - but For the 2023 Expo Catalog which arrived later.

First, the Official capsule figures ( オフィシャルカプセルフィギュア ) :

After assembling - 3 dinosaurs :

○ Zulu ( ズール )
○ Maipu ( マイプ )
○ Tyrannosaurus ( ティラノサウルス )

Next - the Kaiyodo figure box set ticket ( 海洋堂フィギュアボックスセット券 ) :

Inside the Box :

figures are in a special color inspired by jade. © Royal Ontario Museum :

3 figures without the skeletons :

The box reminds me the last box from The 2019 Dino Expo - they have many expos there in Japan :

Both empty boxes :

The 6 Boxed figures together :

Come to think of it - the capsule figures of 2023 also resemble the 2019 capsule figures -

They use the same stand - and I do think the T-rex has the same mold, just different color :

So, one last group shot of the all :

And onto the Shelf :

3 More PNSO Dinosaurs -

- Suchomimus
- Therizinosaurus
- Deinocheirus

Therizinosaurus and Deinocheirus are perfectly aligned with each other :

Suchomimus would fit Sinopliosaurus from previous wave :

And the posters :

BrontoScorpio

Got this hefty 1 kg bunch of Resin pieces :

11 pieces in display -

And the other side :

In the middle of Much cleaning and drilling needed -

And there it is - the complete statue :

Creative Beast Studio 1/30 Acrocanthosaurus ( Ver. 1, Discontinued )  :

From the side :

Look how fierce he is - looking down on it's prey Sauropelta  :

The whole scene rediates power - the way thismuscular body rotates while in the middle of jumping to the air :

Strong tail for balance :

Next to my other 'Creative Beasts' dinosaurs by David Silva :

In conclusion - I just felt later I needed to add some fiery color schemes examples - suited for this wonderful sculpt:

BrontoScorpio

Yes, I am familiar with your Acrocanthosaurus.
I would never dream of out competing the great Martin Garratt ...
Do you happen to know, by any chance, if your copy of the statue also had the 3 upper parts in different color or material like mine is ?

I can remember this clearly. It was among my first resin models and I tried to build it up myself.
I mercilessly failed (I don't even have the tools you need to do that) and sent it to Martin whom I just got to know a few weeks before.
All parts were as white as your head is.

correction: The base was kind of yellowish.

BrontoScorpio

Got these various Ceramic dinosaurs from all over the world almost at the same time :

These lovely petite dinos seem to originate in Thailand, may belong to 'Siam Ceramics' - Ceramic and Porcelain Miniature Figurines :

From what I saw, the set combined of 6 different animals - each has several different postures  :

Next are 'WADE' dinosaur set of 5 figures from the UK :

And this miniature set by 'Faro' Italy :

Next to the big size version Diplodocus I once got :

These two from Germany are, I think, part of a chess board, because they sit on a heavy barbell :

Also from Germany - these two Clay\Polyresin dinos :

Some of the set still can be found on Urzeitshop :

My set of 9 out of 12 :

And some old Porcelain figures from Japan :

My pottery shelf is all but full by now :

BrontoScorpio

As for the last set from previous post yet to be described -
Daiso ( ダイソー ) miniature dinosaur series ( ミニチュア  恐竜シリーズ ) polyresin figurines  ( ポリレジン 置物 )
out from an 11 figures set :

And while I was looking for the 'Daiso' dinosaurs, I stumbled across other Daiso dinosaurs :

This pack of 6 'Lego' like dinosaurs - I bought to my nephew -
which have prooven to be much more difficult to assemble than the regular Legos we all know :

This set of Rubber dinosaur erasers by Daiso :

ceratopsian

I like the inclusion of the tree against rock element in the Daiso series.  Vegetation is so often overlooked.

BrontoScorpio

Yes, There was also a 'Waterfall' ( 滝 ) that had this same aesthetic, which I was unable to get ( along with the Steg )

BrontoScorpio

These 2 cute fellas are an addition of color variants to my Ü-ei Dinosaur collection :

3 trikes and 2 Ankylos :

Actually the seller had many more colors that I wanted - But I just kept losing time after time considering the prices :

BrontoScorpio

I think these should also pass through as 'Ceramic' , more over since I got them along with the last bunch from Germany :
- Ceramic Display stands by 'Favorite' ( フェバリット ).

Although my Pteranodon and Plesiosaurus already have their own display solutions -
you can never know when you are going to need  another one - it is always better to have those in hand ...

BrontoScorpio

Got this magnificent British museum coin :

I don't know the story behind the design of this medal - but it was certainly influenced by the Invicta model :

... And then I got a different version of this coin :

BrontoScorpio

Speaking of Invicta models -
They have a special place in my heart for being ones I collected at first.
Here's a group shot at their shelf :

And after a rearrangement some time later :

And the color version were soon to follow :

And the rearrangement
( Hey, That's a cool game to play - find the differences ... )

Libraraptor

Yeah, those Invictas always and still make my heart beat a little faster. All those painted ones :o

Thanks, avatar_BrontoScorpio @BrontoScorpio, for this reminder of the value (intrinsic and nostalgic) of these pioneering figures. Here in Toronto, Canada, I used to frequently come across them in thrift shops. But no more, for several years now. I'm very glad that I recognized their worth back then (around 2008, or so) and gradually acquired my present collection. Your exhibits are a pleasant reminder of the enjoyment that I had in the gradual assembling of my Invicta collection.
