Dino Scream3232

Started moving some of my old stuff out of my parents house. Found a lot my old dinosaur toys. Box of Invicta, some Dino Riders, and definitely dinosaurs. It's a great feeling reliving old memories with these toys. Decided to do a retro review of the invicta Apatosaurus. It's one of my favorite childhood toys. Also painted the safari Nasutoceratops in the JW colors. The JW Nasutoceratops is one of my favorites from Mattel this year. Also I saw a quick mention on the forum that the safari Ltd Nasutoceratops is retired?!? Someone said they heard it from mini zoo. Anyone have confirmation on that?  https://youtu.be/5KCR875km4I

Shonisaurus

The safari nasutoceratops repainted in JW style has been great. Magnificent and exciting reunion your Vintage figures, it is a joy to always be reunited with the figures of dinosaurs of your childhood / youthful age.

Killekor

You did a great job repainting the WS Nasutoceratops! That color scheme suits really well on it!

From what I'd read from the "Safari new for 2019" thread the answer is yes, it has been discontinued. Which is really sad news.

Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

Nice idea to repaint the Safari Ltd Nasutoceratops in the Jurassic World color scheme. And cool finds there (especially the Dino Riders Brontosaurus).

Awesome repaint, that gave me a idea to repaint my Allosaurus like the one from Battle at Big Rock

Gwangi

You had the Tyco Brontosaurus just sitting in your parents attic?  :o Very cool that you were able to recover those. I had to yard sell all my dinosaurs when I got older (including a Tyco T. rex), a big regret I have, but my mother couldn't stand "clutter". I've now replaced most of what I had (but not the Tyco T. rex, yet) but they're still not those same individuals that meant so much to me. Anyway, I watched the review, great job! The Invicta Brontosaurus is one that I still need to get.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. My parents know not to touch my dinosaur stuff lol. I'm so happy I found these. There's still more that I'm looking for. Still looking for my life size skull cast of stegosaurus from skullduggery. It's buried somewhere lol. I have a lot to fossil casts. Need to do a few videos showcasing them in the future. Also was finally able to get my hands on the Basic Proceratosaurus. Really cool figure!!  https://youtu.be/5c1j-yE0oeU

Just wanted to share my Chaos Effect Thrasher Rex repaint. Took me awhile to finish. Really need to invest in a airbrush kit lol. I'm really happy how it tuned out. Big fan of the Chaos Effect line. It's just so 90's gaudy awesomeness lol. https://youtu.be/a1SLSrv9spQ

Appalachiosaurus

Cute Lizards!!! I'm also pretty jealous of those life size fossil replicas you have, nice collection overall.

Dino Scream3232

Been awhile since I posted. Been working on a few repaints lately. Found a lot of JW stuff on clearance. Which is budget friendly for repaints lol. Did the canceled Chaos Effect Triceratops and the iconic Omega Rex. The Nasutoceratops repaint is based on some artwork I stumbled upon online. The Indominus Rex is based on the JW Evolution Rainforest skink. Also got the new PNSO 6 figures, Rebor Dilophosaurs, and the new Jurassic World Mononykus and Echo.

suspsy

Those are some cool repaints! Nice to see some love for Chaos Effect!

Quite a bunch of good stuff, and I dig the repaints as well. Great job with them too.

Haven't added too much to the collection the last couple months. Mostly Jurassic World stuff. Grabbed the brachiosaurus before the street release date while targets systems where a mess.

Finally grabbed the battle damage Monolophosaurus and Proceratosaurus from a nice Canadian collector. It's a shame these haven't shown up in the USA yet.

And lastly did a screen accurate Battle at Big Rock Nasutoceratops repaint. Glad they released the cgi models as it was a very helpful guide durning painting. https://youtu.be/T1aTxoxaZ8w

Faelrin

I'd love to see what other screen accurate repaints you could pull off as that certainly turned out fantastic.

Thanks avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin and A @Andanna. I'll mostly do the battle at Big Rock allosaurus next. Was going through my basement the other day. Bought a lot of stuff on clearance that I need to work on lol.

Killekor

I've never entered in this thread before because I don't like video reviews in general, but today I saw your repaints and I got impressed by your Mattel Nasutoceratops film accurate repaint. It's truly amazing! If this was the paint scheme sold by Mattel I would had bought it instantly! Congrats!
I like also your other repaints. Congratulations also for your new acquisitions!
I'm looking forward to see more repaints from you.

Thanks avatar_Killekor @Killekor. I know reviews aren't for everyone, that's why I try to post lots of pics too. Cleaned out my basement the other day and found a lot of doubles I bought for repaints. I'm seriously considering getting another Nasutoceratops to resculpt the grill into the female. Definitely have a Nasutoceratops repainting addition lol.

Dino Scream3232

It's been awhile since I've posted any collection updates. Got in the new Papo Spinosaurus. It is definitely an impressive model but I feel the paint could've been better. Just didn't have that limited edition feel to it.

Dino Scream3232

Here's something fun that some of you may find interesting. Thanks to Ted Brothers I found out about these Zuru Dino Strike blind balls (found at Walmart). With a little imagination you can convert some of your dinosaur figures into Dino Riders!! I've been having a ton of fun messing around with the parts. Even made a custom Deinonychus and painted up the parts. You can even use the Transformers Siege weapons and blast effects!! Here's my vid on the blind balls and some pics of my creations. https://youtu.be/y6MshXdVIwY https://youtu.be/my3SWFCoXp0
