I liked the artwork  but wheres the wound I guess the allo is grabbing the campto gently.

Stegotyranno420: Of course you may, thanks for the compliment!

TritonTR: A lot of the time blood doesn't start to flow visibly until the claws are removed from the puncture wounds. I looked at a lot of photos of lions grabbing zebra and wildebeest, and often no blood is visible despite the claws being hooked into the flank.

I really like how you handle the texture of feathers in your drawings. That Guanlong looks wonderfully shaggy. The pose is great, too; he looks poised and graceful.

Do you sell prints of your artwork? Or the originals? I just went back through your thread and I think both the Libralces piece and the Cervalces scotti piece are so charming.

Dusty Wren:

Thank you so much for the kind comments. I don't sell anything currently, but may look into the possibility in the future. My main aim at the moment is to illustrate and write a Mesozoic field guide style book, focusing on the diversity of dinosaurs but including other animals and plants as well. I have finished about 35 drawings out of what I anticipate will be 70 - 80 in the finished project.

Thanks again!

Dusty Wren

Ah, gotcha. Best of luck with the project! Can't wait to see the final result.

Interesting News and this sounds like a lot of Work to do^^ Thanks for posting all your Works here. I am always checking the new drawings, but i do not feel to comment everything. Its fine to just let them be there and appreciate them.
But like other Art threads here, yours really is a Journey and shows how you changed and got better/different. That really means there still is a Place for a slower paced Forum like this, rather than fastpaced Social Media with everyday Tons of New Stuff, someone forgets after 10 minutes of new Inputmasses. Thanks and i hope you tell us, how the Project is shaping over the Time. At least, what you can and want to tell/show.

Greetings

Kapitaenosavrvs,

Thank you so much for your comment. It's really nice to know that these drawings are appreciated. I will continue to post updates as and when I finish drawings.

Best regards and thanks!

Nice figure of nigersaurus. You've put lips on that sauropod and given it a much more realistic look than most paleo-artistic reconstructions I'm used to.

It has been great on you. It is one of my favorite fish and sharks.

What an ingenious drawing about the supersaurus! That position of the tail resting on the trunk that could have happened in the world back then makes drawing extremely fun. Not showing the dinosaur's eyes makes the drawing more interesting and by the way that little dinosaur or reptile, what kind of animal is it?

Ictonyx

Thanks as always for the kind words Shonisaurus! I am trying to learn about perspective at the moment and improve my range and skills. The small dinosaur is Nanosaurus, a small ornithopod.

Shonisaurus

Thank you for your quick reply, I was curious to know what dinosaur that little ornithopod was.

ITdactyl

Okay Supersaurus. Now you're just flexing.

Awesome art as always I @Ictonyx . I'm only assuming from your latest sauropod drawings, but I'm glad to find a fellow fan of those big nuchal ligaments and neck musculature. Science may say it's wrong, but it really does look good.
