I too thought of a tropical reef. And I thought a little too of the little brightly coloured glass fish ornaments my mother had when I was a small child.

Fantastic work as always. More figures should be made with crazy fun colours!

It at least can work for fish I suppose

Those are some wonderful sculpts there. Great work with them. That also reminds me of how I wish a company would make a figure of Falcatus already.

I love them! Iniopterygians and petalodonts are just terrifically weird, and you've done a great job highlighting their distinctiveness.

Wow, it's been 3 years since the project ended and still not finished posting everything I finished! ;D
Last update was 7 month ago back in September of last year. So, before more of my sculpt find new homes or discarded (mostly the early stuff), I need to really try and finish the posting. Down to the last few groups: Ceratopsians, Marine reptiles, and a few mammals.
Let's start with the ceratopsians.
These group was the last ones s sculpted for the ceratopsian series, I think I sculpted a total of 8 different genus.
For these last ones, I have taken the feedback regarding bulk as well as scales and textures that some have suggested. As always, bold colors is a must! ;D

Styracosaurus - the frill ended up more flat due to not having enough support during the firing process. Sculpted back in the summer of 2018
[]

Spinops - Before PNSO released a nice big one ;D I'm thinking of getting a second PNSO figure to repaint with this colors ^-^

Centrosaurus - [/url
[]

Spiclypeus -

It's been fun sculpting the ceratopsians and they make up the bulk of the dinosaurs I sculpted. There you have it ;D
Next time, I will try and post the last of the Marine Reptiles, thanks for checking, cheers!

It's good to see more sculptures from you, Boki! I love that Spiclypeus, especially the head sculpt.

You said that it's been three years since this project ended. Have you done any sculpting since then?

Thanks avatar_Dusty Wren @Dusty Wren 😃 I haven't really sculpted since then, although I did sculpt some extant fish.
There are a few more smaller prehistoric fishes I did in January of 2019 that still needs to be finished 🤣

Maybe one day when I get inspired again I will try to sculpt again.😃

I hope you do! I used to sculpt, but I haven't done it in a long time. Seeing all your work has been inspiring me to give it a try again.

I'm also finding this inspirational.

I especially love your paintwork, Boki--go bold or go home!

These are so cool! I think my favorite is the Spinops. It subtly reminds me of Christopher DiPiazza's Styracosaurus, with the arrangement of the colors inverted.

Your Sculpts look so adorable. Especially the fish :D I reall ylike them and maybe someday you'll find yourself sculpting again. Your are handling stuff better than i am, i would say :-D I wait and wait and think about how i will fail, rather than just sculpt and sculpt and sculpt like you did. Same goes for Repaints/Paints.

Your Style is clearly unique and thanks fr sharing all your Stuff again.

Shonisaurus

Boki, why don't you dare to make your own line of prehistoric animals? You have a very good talent, they would surely buy your figures even if they were made of resin.

My congratulations totally charming figures although I like more conservative colors, sincerely figures to be taken into account from the point of view of paleoart.

Bokisaurus

Thanks everyone for all of your kind words :)
If my schedule wasn't too crazy, I think I would have taken it up again. The last time I sculpted was in early 2019 when I used my my leftover sculpey and made a series of extant fish based not he River Monster show http://animaltoyforum.com/index.php?topic=2649.0 ;D
I also did some reef fishes from mostly Jurassic and Cretaceous but never got around to finish painting them! ;D I'm hoping to get them painted sometime this year.

Oh! They look great! Arapaima looks really good, but my favourite of the Group is the Pacu. I had Aquariums for years and the Pacu was always something really interesting. Far too big for me and moreover i did't want such big bois in a Tank. They do not belong there. Without Plants, and oh wait. I thought of an Oscar, Astronotus ocellatus. :D Oops. Nevermind. Pacus are still great. The calmer Piranhas : D

Gecko08

Can I commission these and what material are they made of? The ones I want are the Echinochimaera, Falcatus, Cobelodus, Iniopteryx, and Belanstea.

Bokisaurus

Almost a year since my last update! And 4 years since the start of the project, wow, times does go fast!
Well, I figured its now or never, so I have rounded up as much as I can to finally do the long awaited conclusion to this project that started way back in 2018 and need around 2019.
I never did sculpt again after the majority were finished fall of 2019 especially the prehistoric animals. It was a fun project and I learned a lot not just my own skills and limitations, but also appreciated just how much it takes just to produce and complete a single figure! ;D

Most of the figures have now either found new homes with just a few remaining out on display. I also made the decision to discard those that were really bad and just keep the ones I felt good about.
So, here they are the final batch of my sculpt ^-^

Mammals and a lone pterosaur - there were more than I thought.
[]

Marine reptiles - I really like how these group turned out so they are out on display with my other non-PVC models :))
[]
[]

Well, that's the conclusion of this project! For all of you who followed from the start, thanks you all for your encouragements, support, as well as feedbacks; they were all instrumental in finishing this adventure. I hope that you all had fun as much as I did. Take care, cheers!
Boki :)

SBell

Those all look great!

I'm grateful to have your Bawitius and lungfish in my collection now! If you're ever planning to do more there's a few I still need!  ;)

Dusty Wren

It's great to see another batch of sculptures from you. Can't believe it's been 4 years since you started this adventure.

These are all awesome, but I love the Tetrameryx and Synthetoceras especially. Is the lean-looking cat in the first photo Miracinonyx?
