I'm late to the conversation, but I think it's great that we have more people enthusiastic about this niche hobby.  I don't think we should ban Killekor for being excited and his willingness to share, in fact, I think we should encourage it.  The caveat being, we should point it out, and coach if we feel he's going overboard.  Who knows, he might end up being an excellent sculptor or someone in a position of change for this hobby :).

I tried my best to stay out of this one, and it looks like everyone is moving forward.  I remember what it was like to be a kid, and being excited to be at the adults table.  So lets not curb the enthusiasm, just direct the right way so we can have meaningful discussions.

As for the reviews, personally I can't get over how cool that Ammonoid is. Actually, the whole line is awesome.

Tyrannosaurus Week is still going on! Here's the posable ReSaurus figure:
http://dinotoyblog.com/2017/02/05/tyrannosaurus-rex-carnage-dinosaurs-by-resaurus/

I just recently pulled this out of storage, and it's a beautiful figure.  My gripes is, the leg and ankle joints gotten flimsy with time and the soft tail plastic starts to detach from the hard plastic from the body. Overall though, I wish I can still find these.  They were available via Winners, Ross and Marshalls if I recall.

Killekor

Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

The factual aspects of this review are excellent and it's a figure I hope to add to my collection. I am unsure of the value of the reviewer choosing a name for his toy and supplying some fan fiction but thank you for the review anyway the details on size and weight are very useful.

Narrative helps brings these long-dead animals to life. Many a good dinosaur book includes a good story or two about mortal combat. As for bestowing a name upon the figure, well, why not? Rebor and PNSO do it with their products. And it is my review, after all.

Don't get me wrong I'm not trying to be critical, I have noticed you name other products such as the Papo running Rex but the sheer amount of 'colour' or 'fluff' as it was referred to in my war gaming days in this review was striking, I think it conveys your enthusiasm for this product.

DinoLord

Great review. Though interestingly enough some researchers have proposed that Megatherium would have been naked due to its large size (like extant elephants).

Life without enthusiasm isn't much of a life. For the record, I've also named most of my sea monster figures after nautical or pirate terms. The CollectA Kronosaurus is going to be called Keelhaul.

Really? Didn't know about that. Is there a paper published, or is this just speculation?

It was discussed in a recent book. Also it seems to have been discussed in an older paper though it's not in English and is behind a paywall. I initially heard of this through a blog post.

suspsy

Interesting. Not sure I buy that notion though. Also, a hairless Megatherium would look pretty damn creepy. :o

Thanks for the review.I got this stunning model today, after  having  ordered it from Dan's Dinosaurs some time ago.It is a very impressive model, gorgeous looking and nicely big and heavy! This is easily my favorite Tyrannosaurus model representation.Doug,if you're reading this,I'd like to congratulate you for such a great piece.Very happy to finally have it! :)
Some day I hope to take some good shots of it.

My pleasure!

And to think that there's still seven more WS figures yet to be reviewed. It makes me wonder what 2018 will bring. A smaller number of figures? Or an even greater number?

Silvanusaurus

So is there another figure bearing the name Tanjaw, or is it just a fictional partner?

At the moment, she exists purely in my mind. I imagine her as having duller plumage than Hardbit, and tan-coloured skin, of course.

Which ones? Perhaps I can help.

I believe the other reviewers have it covered already. Although if you any further ReSaurus figures to review, please do so. They've been great.

*shakes head ironically while grinning*

I was afraid but hoping you were going to say that. I do. All ready to go. All but one...The Deinonychus. If anybody has it and wishes to sell it, let me know. Expect some PM's in the next few days coming from this side of the Earth.
