I would like from Safari a basilosaurus or a pakicetus are prehistoric animals in this case very rare mammals in the toy market if we except the Collecta basilosaurus, the mini Safari and the exceptionally beautiful PNSO.

As I've said on a few threads before, I'd really like to see Safari do Basilosaurus cetoides, the original type species from America. Given the rise of similar-looking mosasaurs in popularity, I think a larger figure would do pretty well.

Personally Id love to see another iguanodontid that isn't iguanodon or ouranosaurus.

I agree with this, but Safari doesn't have an Ourano so I would like to see their interpretation of it.

I wouldn't mind a new Ourano, the last good one we had was the original Battat, which is quite rare now. And the Battat Terra one isn't going to be released any time soon (we can thank Battat for that). PNSO's mini is average at best.

Would definitely like to see PNSO, CollectA or Safari tackle a brand new Ourano.

I'm still burning a candle for Lurdusaurus! When Darren Naish described it as "the stupidest looking iguanodont", I knew I had to have it in my collection!  ;D

I would love that one but I think it's more likely to be made by Collecta. Safari tends to prefer animals with at least partial but reasonably good skull material and I think there's nothing of the skull of Lurdusaurus preserved. CollectA is more loose about fragmentary specimens

Shonisaurus

Both Safari and Collecta are companies that make highly scientific dinosaurs but I totally agree with you while Safari makes prehistoric animals with quite acceptable bone remains. The Collecta brand is bolder when it comes to making dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals less complete or not even nothing is known about them, as happened with their initial deinocheirus of 2012 and that they would later modify when a considerable part of their remains was known.

Safari sincerely if it makes dinosaurs and prehistoric animals I am almost convinced that it will not make a lurdusaurus, I would dare to say that they would be prone to perform an ouranosaurus from which, fortunately, more paleontological remains are known for giving examples of iguanodontids.

Killekor

I personally would be happy to see a new Ouranosaurus figure. I like that dinosaur and if the new figure will be nice, I'll get it!
It's sad to see that Safari retired after a really short time their Gryposaurus and Nasutoceratops, and I hope that if they make another Guanlong they will give to it the same color scheme of the one that they've now retired.

Killekor
Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

Sad that they retire newer toys as opposed to long outdated ones like the featherless Velociraptor, the Triceratops with wrong toes, and the narrow-nosed T. rex that's been repainted at least three times now, but I guess those ones still sell well.

Which is even sadder.

When you have stores like A.C.Moore that refuse to ever get in new products and only sell the outdated ones, it certainly doesn't help. At this rate they probably won't have many figures left to sell if they don't ever replace retired stock with new products. Probably other stores out there contributing to this too, other then just the outdated figures being more popular for one reason or another.

I doubt they sell well because of being more popular, aside from the Velociraptor which still holds up well enough aesthetically all of them are not only outdated scientifically but in sculpting and design quality.

I would say it's a combination of businesses only changing their orders if they need to and the lower price point. The larger figures are great for us but probably scare some parents off.

Bokisaurus

I think the large portion of consumers outside of collectors don't know much about accuracy or new species. I have friends who are not dino fans and when they see my collection they can pick out some outdated species, but can't recognized the same species that is newer and more accurate.
Good example is the old Velociraptor all naked in its glory, put that next to the new feathered one, and most people can identify the old one and won't have a clue what species the feathered one is ;D

Hey guys! Just reviewed 2 more of the Safari 2019 figures, and I have been made aware of some people taking interest into my reviews on here, and unfortunately I don't have enough free time to come checking up on here very often, so I just wanted to share my latest videos for anyone who may be interested :)

avatar_Kikizilla101 @Kikizilla101 Nice reviews Safari 2019 stegosaurus is the best of all stegosaurus made in PVC so far. The Safari 2019 prestosuchus surpasses many similar species, although I also have to admit that the Safari postosuchus and its WWD counterpart are full figures.

I congratulate you on these two video reviews and I really like that you compare Safari 2019 stegosaurus with other figures of dinosaurs of the same brand as the feathered tyrannosaurus of Safari, camarasaurus and allosaurus of Safari 2019 among other figures, on the other hand the comparison of the prestosuchus in size with the dimetrodon of Safari 2018 is very good. Thanks for sharing these videos.

Speaking of videos, if this year is anything like last year, we could start seeing 2020 reveals in just a couple of weeks. I wonder if they'll mail out parcels for unboxing videos like they did for 2019.

I was thinking the same thing myself this weekend. Fingers crossed for a Utahraptor!

Also, Safari is touting a San Diego Comic Con midsummer release, with this blurry teaser:

The rightmost looks like their already-released Bigfoot, and the other two look like crytpids/mythical creatures as well. Not really up my alley, but I know a lot of people here are also into those.

I wonder if thats Mothman in the middle

Hope we'll at least get some news on 2020 prehistorics during SDCC.

stargatedalek

I doubt it's mothman, it has arms separate from the wings. It looks more like a fantasy gargoyle or such.

I didn't think of that! That would be exciting.

Well this is certainly interesting. Looking forward to what these are. I definitely have collected some of their fantasy figures already, and wouldn't mind more to add at some point.
