Is aliexpress a good place to order from?

Im thinking about ordering the new vitae figures off aliexpress cause theyre dirt cheap i know i can get them off monsterhoushk and i did order the chiliantasaurus frome him (sorry for the butchard name) i want to know whats everyones experence of aliexpress is im sorry if this isnt the right place to put my topic also im from canada so any info od aliexpress that helps me

I don't know anything about Aliexpress, but I recommend against ordering from MonsterHouse. I've had particularly negative experiences buying from them, but other members here and on the ATF have reported everything from fraudulent overcharges on shipping to stealing their images to use on his Ebay store.

I have dealt with Ali Express for years and on the rare occasion that some order failed to make it to me I was always granted a refund, otherwise no complaints about the service. As it is a collective of various traders you are in a similar position as that provided by Amazon marketplace - results may vary according to whom you are dealing with. On the whole I would recommend them. Can't speak for other countries but I quite often get 'free shipping' to Australia.

The nice thing about AliExpress is that it doesn't require a middleman or a broker. It's just a direct order.

One thing to emphasize is that shipping from China is heavily subsidized to promote export, so sellers can often ship items at $2 or $3 per kilogram, regardless of how many separate parcels they're sending. Anyway, as was pointed out in your other thread (should they be merged perhaps?), AliExpress is a marketplace, and some sellers are more reputable than others. But the site itself has some buyer protections in place and strong incentives to enforce them.

It's not fast. Ordering dinosaurs from there can take anywhere from 20-40 days on average. Add two-three days of processing/prepping the shipment, as well as an additional week for the item to actually ship, and it could take awhile. That being said, most of my packages had tracking, and I could isolate the location of any package at any given time if I wanted. I have also never really had a problem, and when I did, I was given a refund within a three-day time period. Good stuff from Aliexpress. Never had to pay additional fees, but I am located in the US, so you'll have to check in with someone from your place of residence.
I will probably never order from Monsterhouse or their eBay account due to their over-priced shipping.

That depends on where you live. Some countries will charge you a fee no matter what, others based on weight of the package, and yet others based on price, a few even base it on the content.

I have a cousin that orders for aliexpress regularly, he hasn't have many problems, probably going to ask him for help to buy the Vitae dinosaurs. But yeah it hasn't been very problematic for him yet.

Ahahaha, it looks sketchy, but it's basically an eBay for China. It's actually more secure entering information on that site than this forum that you are using.
Valid security certificate and everything. I gave my information but did not save the card to the site.

I wouldn't pay more for the express shipping. It's most likely to take just as long and the tracking information will be the same.
