Why on Earth is the Plesiosaurus already going for a hundred bucks or more on Ebay already? I wasn't chasing one, I just found one via a link and when I noticed the price I did a search and all the ones I found were similar prices. Seems a bit silly for a figure only recently released.

Lessons from ebay:  anyone can list anything for any price..whether it sells for that is something else.

PhilSauria

There seems to be a trend whereby some people will somehow get hold of these things ahead of a wider retail release and whack a big price tag on in the hope of scoring from any collectors who have plenty of dough and just can't wait. I there any such animal?, must be or it wouldn't keep happening.

As it is I will have to rely on the generosity and assistance of a fellow Forum member to get hold of the Plesiosaurus, unlikely to appear on the shelves over here in Australia, as with the majority of anything from Mattel beyond a handful of the initial range. Really looking forward to getting hold of that one as the neck can be positioned straight out to display it in a more likely pose than the inaccurate but lodged in the public consciousness look of the 'S' curve Swan position.

OMG! Wouldn't mind one of these but I know that given where I live and the practices of the retailers here in regard to this line my chances lie somewhere between 'fat chance' and 'no way'.

More money to throw at PNSO I guess.

Impressive packaging. Truly the Omega Supreme of the JW line. It is a great relief to my bank account, my shelves, and my sanity that I have zero desire to obtaining one!

It looks excellent! Not many of the newer JW figures have caught my eye but I'm looking forward to this one. The only trouble for me is space.

Oh look, yet another major release that won't make it to most international shelves. How nice.
It's almost as if Mattel doesnt want our money.

In fairness, releasing this toy in any capacity is a MAJOR financial risk on Mattel's part. It would certainly be wonderful for collectors if it was available at every Walmart, Target, and Toys R Us on the planet, but eventually, we'd be seeing tons of them in clearance bins for 50% off.

I saw this earlier on Britt's instagram, and I was honestly hoping there would be artwork depicting this iconic scene somewhere on the packaging, and I am just blown away at how beautiful this has been done. I also love how much it resembles the original Kenner Jurassic Park packaging too. I really cannot wait to get my hands on this one. I really wonder how big the box is though. In another of her pics it seems slightly longer then the Indominus rex's box, so maybe slightly larger then the Mosasaurus' box? I can't imagine it being bigger then the Quest for Indominus rex box though.

And I think this is the first time we've gotten an over head and closer look at the sculpt detail (and neck articulation) there. I'm still so blown away at how film accurate this one is in not just sculpt, but also the color scheme. The 25+ year wait for Jurassic Park fans to own a toy like this is nearly coming to end now. I won't lie though, I am still worried about how distribution for this will be handled worldwide.

Given Mattel's piss poor track record, I predict that the amazing brachio will be missing from the majority of international toy shelves. When Mattel claims a product is being "released everywhere"; most if not all the time, it just means it'll have adequate distribution within the states.

Import fees are gonna suck for this big boy.

The fact this is also a Target exclusive in the US, and the fact that this is an off/non movie year with reduced shelf space, might be problematic for the supply and demand of this here as well, especially with there being the Bite N Fight, Indominus rex probably, and the Legacy rex two pack, if not sold out by then. Time will tell though. Patience will likely be necessary for this one, since scalpers will likely eat up the supply the day this is spotted online and/or in stores. It will probably be a hot ticket item during all the holiday shopping at the end of the year, if there is enough to go around by then.

For stores in countries outside the US, it will likely be a matter of which stores wanting to carry it and Mattel distributing it. I truly hope everyone that wants one can get their hands on this, but seeing how some stores didn't even get the Mosasaurus last year, I won't be holding my breath that those same places will get this either. Some places might also just not have the demand to justify trying to sell it either, sadly.

Given Mattel's piss poor track record,

[/quote] yeah piss poor record track record is putting it lightly they done even distribute them to canada and
Both walmart and toys r us are bone dry when it comes to jurassic world figures so i highly doubt they will bring the brachiosaurus here and its would cost an arm and leg to order and ship which is a shame i really like that brachiosaurus

Looks like a real winner here, hoping distribution isn't a mess! I'm torn because I want it very much, but it's so very voluminous. I would never be able to pass it up if I saw it though. This is what Jurassic Park toys were created for. Finally!

I for one am very intrigued at how the white sauropod silhouette on the front of the box showing the figure's great size dimensions is definitely NOT of a Brachiosaurus (the one on the side of the box sure is), but looks much more like a certain diplodocid... if that means anything for the future?

avatar_Toasaurus @Toasaurus is is expected to be a fall release so it hast come out yet.

Mattel said that there will be a non-legacy packaging variant for the international market but it was up for retailers to stock it or not.

I think we should wait until this figure starts to appear somewhere before complaining about the distribution (although yeah, their track record is not very good), once we see how its distributed then we can grab the pitchforks and torches and go against Mattel.

Killekor

That Brachiosaurus is a cool figure, but it's size it insane! I think that Mattel made a big bet with this figure; let's see if they win it. I hope to see it in Italy, but I find that highly unlikely.
Personally I like that figure, but being so big it's price will be surely too high for me, considering that I'm planning to get the Papo Spinosaurus and a BotM ceratopsian. So for me it's a sad pass.

Killekor
Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.
