What a great imagination, Rebor's triceratops and a triceratops breeding with the camouflage of a tapir. Nice diorama and fun. I congratulate you.

ITdactyl

Oh wow, I'd say you gave the fallen queen her dignity back... in spades.  A very nice retelling/retooling of the story.  I hereby name the baby poundcake.... Lol

On a note unrelated to the artist's choices, chubby baby dinos seem to be catching on. But of you look at the surviving archosaur relatives, thr babies start off as emaciated big eyed nightmares, with mouths agape... Demanding your soul... Oh... Wait...

Killekor

You've got a great imagination customizing that Triceratops! The result is great. Congratulations!

Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

Schleich's Dracorex:

The salad bar:

Happy hour!:

ceratopsian

The salad bar is so good!  So often bases don't ever give the feel of lush vegetation.  Yours works really well.  The Dracorex colours work perfectly with the lushness too.  He's now a very handsome beast.

Justin_

Plus the vegetation cleverly hides the pronated hands. Nice work.

Nimravus

Wow Fenestra, your customization is superb! :o Dracorex colours are very natural, and it could be perfectly camouflaged into the dense vegetation! My congrats!

That Schleich dracorex with that new repainted look looks like a tropical dinosaur. It is phenomenal, it seems that he wears a military uniform with the repainting. If Schleich had sold the dracorex with that repaint, the price of the product would have increased much more. That painting is expensive for a company that produces dinosaurs en masse.

Halichoeres

That's a great repaint. I'm also loving the salad bar. Aquarium plants? Is the cotton-swab looking thing meant to be a horsetail strobilus?
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

I would be interested to know too. I have looked recently at local aquarium shops but not much looked useful.

Fenestra

I actually ordered "jungle plants" from some diorama seller on Ebay. It had the bamboo and grass like plants in a bag.
The ferns I already had, are from "Aliexpress". They come in bulk bags and cost close to nothing.
I'm a hobbyist and have no real palenothology knowledge. I just like dinosaur models. But I like them enough to do some research before I make my little bases. So Dracorex lived in the late Cretaceous where there were no actually flowers and such. But I wanted him to feed on something yummy looking, so I went for something "horsetail". They are actually cheap "Aliexpress" palm trees with the top leaves removed. I stuck the round trunks on some iron wire, painted them, and "voila".  ;D

That Dracorex repaint is absolutely amazing! I love it's color scheme!
Plus, you did a really great work with the "salad bar"!
Congratulations!

If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck
it may very well be a Deinocheirus!

It's been awhile since I posted some customs and repaints. So here we go!

CollectA's Deinocheirus. (The colours used were inspired by the art of Andrey Atuchin's Deinocheirus.)
I've added a little beef to the neck and thighs and repositioned the "walking dead" arms.

So much talk about Spinosaurus and Giganotosaurus these days.  ^-^
First the Safari ltd. Giganotosaurus. Great figure but the fabric colours were applied a bit sloppy.
I did like the idea of the striped Giga though, so I repainted it with that in mind.

Fenestra

CollectA's swimming Spinosaurus! What a figure!
I've put it on a mount to really bring out the swimming motion.
The colours are based on the "Prehistoric Kingdom" game model.

Concavenator

Your repaint of the CollectA Deinocheirus is gorgeous. Makes me wish the original figure was painted like that.

Jose S.M.

Those repaints are beautiful! The Giga looks amazing and goes to show that the figure is much more detailed than it looks on pictures

Shonisaurus

If they sold this Collecta repainted deinocheirus, the Safari repainted giganotosaurus and Favorite repainted spinosaurus as you have painted it, you can be sure of those brands that I would buy without hesitation those repainted figures even if they cost me twice the money that the current ones cost me. I congratulate you on these three works of art you have been precious. The one I like best of all is the deinocheirus based on the paleoartistic painting of Andrey Atuchin, that's pure craftsmanship.

ceratopsian

What beautiful repaints!  My personal favourite is the Deinocheirus, but I love all three of them.
