QuoteI see it as one big anatomy class. Wheres the problem? Your own signature presents a scantily dressed lady amongst dinosaurs right? Isnt that kinda umm, just what you are criticizing? Each his own I think.......
Would you still be okay with it if it was scantily dressed men in lurid poses instead?

I think that would be pretty funny. Granted, I personally would not enjoy looking at them as much but I could find the humor in it. I can think of some especially interesting shots involving sauropods come to think of it. Hell, I would even do it myself but...no one wants to see that.

The way I see it, it's all in good fun. Sexy women posing with toy dinosaurs is ludicrous. You know, we see them pose with cars and guns and at least in the U.S. we're saturated with scantly clad women. To incorporate that with something as offbeat as toy dinosaurs is funny to me. Weird also but still funny. I've even shown them to my wife; "look hun, I was looking for pictures of a toy dinosaur and you won't believe what I found". Plus, women have been exploited in science fiction, horror and comic book type genres since forever so Glut's website really isn't so strange in the greater context of things. The women look like they're having fun, Glut is certainly enjoying himself and I think their funny. No harm.

So according to you....since it's being going on for a long time, exploiting people is okay....

That is not at all what I said, not at all. How did you manage to find that in what I wrote? I said "women have been exploited in science fiction, horror and comic book type genres since forever so Glut's website really isn't so strange in the greater context of things." Nothing about the ethics of exploitation, just pointing out it fits within the genre and is thus not as far out as it may appear. Regardless, these women are consenting adults who don't seem to mind being exploited.

QuoteI try to glance down both sides of the street before crossing...or seeing both sides of something. I imagine there are others who hate when they are trying to oogle the women, and the dinosaur pictures keep popping up. Live and let live........
It seems unlikely that people would be going on the site to just rubber neck the girls. There are plenty of other sites that cater to that kind of audience. If you know what I mean :-X

I don't see why those women are necessary. The dinosaur models are the things that are supposed to be the objects of interest. Women are not objects.

I also find it a bit creepy considering how old he is *yuck*

Yeah sure he is SO Old he should be sitting at home doing crosswords or something. Age is irrelevant to this subject.

Aside from which whom is exploiting whom in this context? Are the girls being paid a ridiculous sum to do those pictures thus self exploiting or perhaps to a degree exploiting the site owner ? I think the concept of exploitation in this context is ludicrous...the girls were likely either well paid or otherwise compensated for their efforts. You can be certain they likely signed releases agreeing to the terms and distribution of their images, and with that most likely came a nice hefty payment. If anything the dinosaurs were likely not paid and are the ones being exploited, poor extinct things. Gosh, if you look at it that way, dinosaurs are the most exploited of all and have been ever since toy companies ....err nevermind.
Authors with varying competence have suggested dinosaurs disappeared because of meteorites...God's will, raids by little green hunters in flying saucers, lack of standing room in Noah's Ark, and palaeoweltschmerz—Glenn Jepsen

*raises hand* I would be ok with that...

(in fact I was going to suggest to my fellow female collectors that we make a version of Don's site which caters to women)

IDEA! For our next DTF photo contest, let's make the theme "dino collectors gone wild" and then turn the entries into a calender, and then sell the calender to raise awareness about our plight, and, and.. Anyone? No?  :-\
As a really cruel practical joke, have the cover hint at really hot girls, but on the inside only feature old, fat, ugly slobs like the ones who keep taking off their clothes off on the Jerry Springer Show! And don't leave out the ladies,do the same but reverse the gender of the models! ;D
Don't you hate it when you legitimately compliment someone's mustache and she gets angry with you?

Idk if you watched his current interviews,he mentioned that he moved on from that and is a veteran collector and dinosaur expert...
His collection is vast and covers decades...most of them photos you mention are from over 20yrs by now and he now focuses on just b movies...and has done for some time...
He has a vast knowledge of sci-fi and horror movies, and with ray bradbury and harryhausen gone..there none that been around as long to know what process went into making certain movies..not trying to defend his website, but its his dinosaur collection that impresses me the most...

I remember the day I stumbled across his site. Casually looking for dinosaurs and found something...well, not completely different, but definitely not exactly what I was expecting.

This is a very interesting and quite young video, I´d definitely enjoy a visit to this house and talk a little with Don Glut

I completely agree! Don Glut's house looks like a treasure trove of dinosaur memorabilia. I'd love to see his collection up close and hear his stories about working on the Land of the Lost TV series.

As fun as that tour would be, I remember his website and I'm not certain I'd pass the women's dress code haha. Really neat to see all of this stuff in video.

Jokes aside I'm glad to hear he's moved on from the websites style of presentation. Age gaps that happen by chance, even big ones like that, don't bother me, but when you are deliberately seeking out/hiring as pornographic models women who are young enough to be your own daughters, it's going to justifiably make people uncomfortable.
