Is the Quick Reply feature missing or turned off ?

Turned off. Wasn't it always turned off? I noticed it the other day and thought it was an error, I'm probably wrong! Easy to turn it on if you like...

Nah, I almost always use it over reply actually...lol saves me from goign to whole other page.. (gasp ) I know..the horror right ?   ;D

First you click on the  "profile" tab at the top of the screen, and then choose "forum profile".

Then go to "modify profile" and choose "buddies/ignore list" and then "edit ignore list"

From there you just need to type in the username of the member. Hope this helps :)

Can someone explain what the book wall is supposed to be for? ??? I don't think I've ever seen anyone use it.

It is a visual summary of all the books recommended (or discussed) in the books thread. It is a bit out of date.

When I go there, there's nothing to look at.

Is this normal?

Nope, there should be lots of book covers there, they are visible for me. The books all link to amazon so they might not be visible if you have an ad blocker installed. I notice the Adsense ad is also missing on your page, so that might explain it? :)

Yes, that explains it.

In a broader sense, always thought it would be a great feature if you could click on a member's name and have the ability to pull up a list of threads originated by that member specifically

I think this is a great idea :)!

Is this possible, Dr. Admin?

I can do that and do quite frequently. If you don't already have access to this feature, I'm sure I can make it available to all users. There should be a 'show posts' button on each members page. Here's the url for mine, let me know if it is accessible to you.

I think what I was suggesting was  step beyond showing individual postings, to displaying somehow which THREADS were begun by a given user...for instance when checking my name you would find the threads for Psittacosaurus toys, Psittacosaurus dinosaurs, Dinosaur eggs, Saurian spottings etc.
Authors with varying competence have suggested dinosaurs disappeared because of meteorites...God's will, raids by little green hunters in flying saucers, lack of standing room in Noah's Ark, and palaeoweltschmerz—Glenn Jepsen
