Could we get back to my original question, please? :)

Quote from: tyrantqueen on February 18, 2014, 03:54:02 AM
I am trying to ignore a board, but I can't find the ignore board option anymore. It was usually under profile > forum profile > modify profile > ignore boards. But I can't find it. Any ideas? :(
I want to know the answer to the same question-for me it's all the annoying threads about "dinosaur drawings".   ::)
*bites tongue* I feel your pain... :-X

Option to ignore boards is now available in your profile section. :)

Thanks! You have no idea how much of relief that is :)

QuoteMaybe there is a way, but it will involve installing a modification. Does this sound like what you're looking for?

If so, I can give it a try when I find the time.
Did you ever get anywhere with this? :)

There's a thread I want to ignore since it doesn't interest me at all and I find the constant updating a bit annoying. It's in a board that I would rather not ignore completely (Other toys and collectibles), just one thread.

Thanks :)

I like the ease of navigation and find most of the features intutive.
Maybe a I missed a setting in my profile but I would prefer to default to the most recent posting on a thread rather than the oldest.

Also it would be nice to be able to like a particular post Face book style.  It feels redundant to just a post a me too comment.

More recently I have had trouble adding pictures although links work just as well.
You can never have too many dinosaurs

It isn't compatible with this version of the forum but I'll keep an eye on it to see if it gets updated.

You should be able to click the link to the most recent post in a thread. This should be present just to the right of the thread title.

"Me too" comments are always welcome  ^-^

If the problems with images persist then I'm sure we can help you work out what's wrong. Just ask in the posting images thread :)

I am unsure if this might be of use or not, but perhaps it might be a consideration to bundle all of the similar threads into a single topic or board, by themselves. Perhaps they could be labeled, Documentaries and programs or something similar. I know there are several topics in this area that all post constantly, and perhaps this might be a useful format.

That's a good idea actually. Could someone, TQ perhaps, pm me a list of topics, and I'll see if a sub board would work... Also, should check if it is possible to ignore a subboard only.

Something is quite irritating, not only for me as I experienced over the past weeks when corresponding via PM on my "Mission Protochirotherium". The messages you send are not visible in the "Sent" folder. How can this be fixed?

You need to turn on the option to save PMs, it's disabled by default.

And before anyone asks, it will only save PMs that have been sent after you have turned this option on, not before.

Libraraptor

Thanks a lot for the quick advice, TQ!

I keep wondering if I altered my settings or the tab for unread threads is missing now? It used to be located at the upper part of the page and you could pull up any unread threads quite easily....now if there are more unread threads than appear in the column you have no easy way to tell. Was the feature removed or did I fumble it myelf?

I'm not quite sure what feature you are referring to, but I haven't changed any settings. Is it something that changed when we moved server? if it happened more recently then you may have clicked something in your settings...

Yes, they will.

Unfortunately I cannot enlarge pictures to their full size anymore (by clicking the upper yellow bar) :(.
I'm just being linked to the pic's original source (Photobucked for example).
Am I the only one having this problem?

I see what you mean. Only seems to happen for Photobucket images though? Can you find examples of other hosts where this happens?

I suspect Photobucket has added some auto redirect code to their site to redirect .jpg urls to .html urls. Basically, Photobucket wants people to have to view the images in html format so they can force feed you ads simultaneously. They can't push ads in .jpg format so there's no incentive for them to allow this very convenient format in its raw state. If this is the case, it is a nasty trick and there's no way around it from our end. I'll see though...

I have the same problem with pics from imageshack.
Some other sources still work fine.
