Some new Amber Collection reveals! A Dilophosaurus and...DENNIS NEDRY!!! Looks like an objectively better set of figures than the first two.

I'm honestly so hyped for both of these. I love how film accurate that Dilophosaurus is, and the fact it has an interchangeable frill. I love all the accessories included too. I really got to get both of these once there's a pre-order for them. Just wish the spit was black (and that we get a 3 and 3/4 scale Nedry eventually still).

By the way Entertainment Earth has the new T.rex, Toro, and the Super Colossal Indominus rex up for pre-order now.

Edit: Here's the links (all with a expected ship date of July, with the exception of the Super Colossal Indominus rex, which is August):

Also one of the images for the new Tyrannosaurus is oddly cut off, but it's otherwise probably the best look at it yet (definitely looks a bit lighter in coloration then the Bite N Fight, and the similar EC repaint that came out a bit earlier):

Best Mattel Jurassic World Figure HANDS DOWN. No oversized feet, articulated, great paint job, and AMAZING detail. Love it.
Most (if not all) Rebor figures are mid

Okay, yeah. The AC one is almost perfect. Definitely an improvement over the AC raptors with the lack of clown feet.
I'm not gonna bother tracking down the target-exclusive legacy 5 pack anymore for the film accurate Dilophosaurus.

Still wish the teeth weren't made so blunt though. For a more adult oriented line, you'd think they would at least allow for some individually sculpted teeth.
Would've also been nice to see the patterns extend to the sides of the body as well, but that's just me nitpicking.

Cretaceous Crab

I just wish they would release a Dennis Nedry in the 3.75" size.

That would be when Mattel manages to find a way to sell them without becoming peg/shelf warmers:

Well they should wait to see how successful a movie is before committing to so many human figures. Fallen Kingdom was terrible.  ;D (Though having the Legacy Collection exclusive to a single retailer definitely can't have helped the sales of that line. I'd love to see more characters from the first 2 films, but I think it's kinda on the way out.)

terrorchicken

the dilophoasurus is perfect! A must have for me! I wonder what the next dino will be? If they are only sticking to smaller species I wonder of they'd do a gallimimus?

Here's Bumpy! It was too cute to pass up.

EDIT - Also in store were repaints of the Mussaurus and standard Velociraptor, but on the back of their cards showed the Alioramus.
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

avatar_triceratops83 @triceratops83 Congrats with finding Bumpy so soon. Thanks for passing the news about the Alioramus as well, although I don't think it's been spotted yet so I wonder if it will be in a future wave. I've been wondering about the green raptor seen at Toy Fair too.

On a similar note I'm guessing Delta and the Dilophosaurus will be in a later wave too? So far Echo, the Scutosaurus, the Styracosaurus, and Stygimoloch have been found from what I've seen.

Thanks, I'll keep my eyes open for more Bumpys, I see they're already selling for outrageous prices on Ebay. The Raptor I saw was purpleish with red stripes (not too appealing) and the Mussaurus was olive with brown stripes - a lot nicer than the first one, I think.

Why does Nerdry look as if he has poops on his face?

Yeah I've seen a lot of people saying that and it's true. It should have been black and looked like the Pop! figure. I'll probably repaint mine..unless this is just a prototype.

To be fair, it does make a painful sizzling sound in the film so you can just say the brown is his burned skin from the venom.

Seems like the legacy collection is back:

No words of where, when and how it will be released though.

^Hey this is a good sign! Although darn it, I already have Ellie, and about 3 different paint versions of the raptor on the left. On the other hand, I don't think the raptor sculpt on the right has ever looked so nice. Both raptor sculpts look great here, all properly painted up like that. Most film-accurate colors they've done. And a giant canon banner for a T. rex to chomp on. or knock down.

I will personally likely not buy this set, but now I hope we see another Hammond carded alone, or with a hatchling sometime.

Excited for what else could come. Bring on the green Ford Explorer, and some Jurassic Park III stuff!

Flaffy

Can't wait to never see these in stores!  ::)
Watch as it gets an extremely limited release, and scalpers hoard every single one of these, proceeding to sell them for exorbitant prices. That seems to be the case with 80% of Mattel's JW releases nowadays, no?

Definitely interested in picking up the raptor on the left, along with Hammond of course. The banner is a nice touch.
I don't feel that adding Ellie was necessary, especially since she doesn't come with anything new. The crouching raptor remains one of Mattel's worst sculpts, and I do wish the standing raptor got the darker colour scheme (as seen on the crouching raptor).

Faelrin

I absolutely need to get my hands on this set. Just one more thing on my wishlist of film canon animal variations to knock off. Those raptors are absolutely on point for accuracy (well for such a simplified paint budget, but it does seem very reminiscent of the Amber Collection one as well). I just hope the final product will this good. I'm thrilled to see a repack of Hammond (and Ellie who was short packed) as well. Glad to see them getting more use of those molds. The banner is a great accessory too (if only there was a visitor center playset).

I guess this just leaves Dennis Nedry (with Dilophosaurus?), Tim and Lex, and the Ford Explorer on my wishlist of figures from them from the first movie.

I have seen lots of speculation from folks that perhaps this was intended as another SDCC exclusive, but because of the COVID-19 situation that likely won't occur/is canceled, so who knows how it will be distributed (and hopefully wide enough). Hopefully Entertainment Earth gets this one though. I would love to get two of these (one in box, one opened).

My bet is best case scenario, it goes to Entertainment Earth for about a week. If Target winds up carrying these, I would be surprised.
