New USPS Forever Stamps Available Now - Featuring art by the great Julius T. Csotonyi

https://store.usps.com/store/product/buy-stamps/tyrannosaurus-rex-S_479204

I just received mine yesterday, and realized they are even cooler than expected - these stamps are lenticular prints. I have no idea why the USPS website doesn't even mention this awesome feature in the description, but it was a nice surprise. If you've ever seen billboards and other signs that seem to change depending on the viewing angle, you'll have some familiarity with what I'm talking about. Still, it was the first I've seen such technology incorporated in stamps. The skeletal model of the adult peering over the infant can morph into a full fleshed-on reconstruction of the same scene, while the jungle hunting scene depicts the animal advancing toward the camera with gaping jaws.

I'll be framing these for sure, but you can order your own at the link above.

They look spectacular. But USPS doesn't ship outside the States.  I had better look around!

Was amused to read Ken Ham immediately filed a protest with the US postal service over the use of feathers, an its suggestive support by the postal service for....evolution.
Authors with varying competence have suggested dinosaurs disappeared because of meteorites...God's will, raids by little green hunters in flying saucers, lack of standing room in Noah's Ark, and palaeoweltschmerz—Glenn Jepsen

Fantastic! Thanks for sharing Dan.
This may not be slickdeals, but I'm definitely in for one.

Thanks for sharing these, even if being in the UK means I probably won't end up getting them  :(

I have never been a huge fan of lenticular holograms. It makes it hard to appreciate the art from a static perspective. The artwork is really cool though.

Two are lenticular ,two are not.  so 50/50.  my local postal lady held me a block, very  cool.

I hadn't noticed. I'll have to check again.

Off topic a little, but can anyone think of the name of the artist who did the US postal stamps of dinosaurs circa 1991? https://www.nytimes.com/1989/10/11/opinion/topics-of-the-times-leapin-lizards.html

Yes! I have those stamps framed somewhere. I want to reframe them WITH the new T. rex stamps. How cool would that be?

Blade-of-the-Moon

If your trying to get all the dino stamps, recall James Gurney also made sets for the USPS. Gonna need a bigger frame!
