So. First of: Yes, this is a 1,75€ Fake Papo Rex from Amazon. I found it by accident and was curious. The Arms are in a better Position and i was repositioning him/her? The Animal. You all know the Papo, so i guess its easy to see, what i have done. I used this very Cheap Figure to try out Repainting, before i try it on a more expensive one.

I used Acrylic Paint and Brushes. The Design is a bit like the one i used in my Painting of the two Yutys.

I was going for a Birdlike Colouring. I'm interested on your Opinions on that. I will try to Repaint other Figures in the Future. This is the Second one. First one was a Carnotaurus. (Also a Fake of Rebor, I ordered together with the Rex and an Acro. But these were just to try out Repainting. I'm not that rich.)

Kapitaenosavrvs

Tomorrow i will try to Repaint the CollectA Juvinile Rex with this design aswell. The smaller, feathered one. The Paintjob on this one is not well done. Okay, it is just around 5 Euros, but still.

Kapitaenosavrvs

So. I tried to do the same Design on the young CollectA Rex. I like those two together. But i try to improve on Repainting.

How beautiful you have been both tyrannosaurus I congratulate you it is an honor to see those photographs. They have been those known very cool theropods.

Killekor

Your repainted T-Rexes are really nice, avatar_Kapitaenosavrvs @Kapitaenosavrvs ! I like the color scheme that you chose for them, in particular the blue around the eye, and I think that you've applied the colors with ability.
Congratulations! I'm really curious to see your next works.

Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

Thank you! At the Moment i use way too much dark wash, but its interesting. This Parrot like Paint scheme was just to try out bright colours.

Kapitaenosavrvs

Finally i re positioned the Forelimbs of the Spino, to a Swimming Position i like. Now i will get it the Paintscheme of the Papo Lim. Spinosaurus.

Good luck, Kapitaenosavrvs! I'm curious to see how will look your customized CollectA swimming Spinosaurus!
I suppose that if you'll apply to it the color scheme of the LE Papo Spinosaurus you'll obtain the National Geographic illustration one, right?

Thank you. Yes, but more like Papos Version of it. I don't know why, but i really like this Colourscheme.
I tried this look on someone else. Its not finished, but yeah. The Papo has way smoother "Skin". Lets see, how the CollectA will come out. It looks like, Papo has a white wash on the Spino. Haven't tried that before.

  8) Wow! A mighty pair. The PNSO looks really good this way.

Shonisaurus

You have been perfect PNSO spinosaurus looks like twin brother of Papo spinosaurus.

Thanks for the kind words :)

Today i tried my first "Diorama" Part for the CollectA swimming Spino. If anyone has ideas, what kind of freshwater Flora could be Part of it, i would be happy.
I made this with Stuff i had at Home and it is not ready yet. Its quite difficult to get it to look like its something under Water. The Picture made it look way brighter than in reality.

Killekor

The base that you made for your CollectA Spinosaurus is simply Amazing! I'm more than impressed. It really looks like a real environment!
Congratulations! I really can't wait to see the final Spinosaurus.

You can try with Ceratophyllum, it's one of the most ancient freshwater plants.  https://theconversation.com/fossils-suggest-an-aquatic-plant-that-bloomed-underwater-was-among-first-flowering-plants-46188

Fenestra

It is easy to use twist ties like these to cut and paint green and then shape them like curling seaweed.

Kapitaenosavrvs

Thank you very Much!

QuoteYou can try with Ceratophyllum

Thanks, thats a really good Idea. But i have to figure out, how to make them.

I great Idea! I'll have to try that. Moreover i like improvising, rather than using expensive, special Stuff. This Base was made out of Stuff i had. Air drying Clay, Aquarium Sand, Aluminiumfoil, wires, Old Coffee and grinded, dry Leaves. And Colour, obviously.

I will add a bit more Highlights and Moss on the Wood. I just used Coffee and Glue. Really easy and looks good.
Also, i will paint the Spino.

And i will sculpt a Fish, that fits this Time and Place. I guess i will look more unterwater then. I got quite dark, now that its completely dry.

Maybe you have some pipe cleaners at home?

YES! Of course! I have plenty of pipecleaners. What a great Idea. Moreover i collected Moss and cleaned and dryed it. I thought of a Moss/Algae Carpet behind the Tree.

I made a Lungfish aswell. Needs to be painted later. Adds a bit more "Underwater feeling". At least this was the Idea.

Kapitaenosavrvs

I think, i'm not finished, but i want to show the interested some Progress. I now used the collected Moss. At first i was very unsure about it, but than i just did it and the Outcome is quite Okay. The Lungfish add the Underwaterfeeling. Our Spino needs some highlights and Detailwork aswell.

But for the first Try on this Part of Figure and Basework, i'm okay with it. Looks quite nice.
If you have things, you would do another way, let me know! Have a good Night.

Oh, Of course the Fotos aren't ideal. Bad Lightning from two sides. Quite unrealistic. Especially for something under water.

Duna

Wow, it looks fantastic. For me it's in the water, the fish has been a good idea. Lovely colors for it!
