Already looks adorable with those flounder eyes! My kid self would have grabbed this from the shelf, I was so in love with elasmosaurs and took my Invicta plesiosaur anywhere.

Definitely sign me up for a signed copy! Even if the book's aimed for children, I can appreciate a book based on scientific fact and charming illustrations.

Congratulations! I'm looking forward to reading this book or any other book you publish in the future. :D

Of course, I'll sign copies for anyone who wants. As a friend responded on facebook, at this rate unsigned copies might be rarer!

Thanks! Finding a balance to make the characters both anatomically accurate, but also fun and relatable, was a key challenge for this book. We had long discussions about things like eyebrows. :o

I would like a signed copy too, please!  I'm very happy to read a children's book - it will be a delightful break from heavier fare!

Of course! I'm not quite sure how it will all work yet, if customers will have to send copies to me to sign and return, or if I will be able to sell and ship signed copies directly. But we'll surely work something out.

Thank you.

The Plesiosaur's Neck is now available for pre-order from Amazon.co.uk, Hive.co.uk, Waterstones.com, and others. I'm anticipating it will appear on Amazon.com soon. Also, I understand that it will be available to order via local bookshops.

Thanks for your support!

I'm excited for this one! It's great to see a book getting published by one of our own!

Not sure how this applies to my post (& if you ask my friend Stuckasaurus, he'll probably say the same), but I digress.

I posted a short update on my blog about the status of the book and its growing availability for preorder: https://plesiosauria.com/the-plesiosaurs-neck-book-pre-order/

Congratulations and thank you for sharing progress on your book! I really want to pre-order but I'm not sure if being outside of the UK affects anything. I don't think it does but just in case, I'll wait until I can pre-order from the US.

I'm so happy to hear that the book is doing well and you're getting lots of pre-orders! :D

Thanks! It still isn't on Amazon US yet but I'm still expecting it to be. As soon as it becomes available in the US I'll share links here. :)

I just checked and it's still ranked number 14 on Amazon UK!

By the way, the illustrator, Adam Larkum, may be best known for his recent work on One Hundred Steps, a biography about Captain Sir Tom Moore, the man who became a national hero last year when he raised millions for the National Health Service during the pandemic: https://www.amazon.co.uk/One-Hundred-Steps-Story-Captain/dp/0241486769 That book has become a bestseller, currently ranked number 1 best seller in the Children's books category on Amazon UK. So, we are so fortunate to have been able to work with him!
