The PNSO Nemicolopterus is one of my favorite figures. A life sized figure of a very small animal is rare with prehistoric reps. I would love to see this continue with their new medium sized line, perhaps even with a Hylonomus!
Nemicolopterus isn't a separate genus, but it does work very well as a hatchling Sinopterus/Huaxiapterus/generic tapejarid. I second the call for more life-sized replicas, potentially other hatchling animals (e.g. Beibeilong, Pterodaustro, Maiasaura).
Nemicolopterus was not a hatchling, it's a distinct genus. It also looks nothing like any Tapejarid. That's like saying Psittacosaurus isn't valid because it could be a baby Triceratops.

avatar_stargatedalek @stargatedalek, in the link you provided it says Darren Naish has argued Nemicolopterus could be a hatchling of Sinopterus.  Also, Mark Witton has said he thinks Nemicolopterus and Huaxiapterus are the same, here: https://twitter.com/MarkWitton/status/860230397317271552
And those are not Tapejarids. They (and potentially Nemicolopterus) are part of Tapejaromorpha, a much broader and earlier group. All of this assuming Nemicolopterus isn't a precursor to Pteranodontoidea and Dsungaripteroidea.

The idea that pterosaur chicks this small relative to adults would already have ossified bones and be self sufficient is entirely speculative in itself, let alone trying to apply an animal only broadly identifiable to a specific genus as a chick. Unless someone finds an actual nesting site of Sinopterus with adult remains where the young are clearly Nemicolopterus, or a clearly adult Nemicolopterus itself, it's going to remain speculation.

I was looking through this thread and came across our discussion from 2020.  I'm not sure if it was like that at the time, but now Sinopterus and Huaxiapterus are classified as tapejarids and there's a paper that puts forward that Nemicolopterus's anatomy suggests it is a baby tapejarid based on bone shape and comparison to baby Pterodaustro, baby Pterodaustro also having ossified bones: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-021-92499-z

Sorry to interrupt the conversation, I have news to break.

Good news!

PNSO figures are already sold at shop.modellpferdeversand.de! The prices are affordable and there is no need to fear customs services for those of us who are Europeans from the EU, I pass on the link. The prices are quite affordable.

This is great news.
