If only Papo's Giganotosaurus was posed like this, and had proper proporitons...  :-\

Posting the pictures here.

HOLY SH----

Absolutely gorgeous. I know W-Dragon does not usually do alternative paint schemes, but I would love to see a more natural colored variant without the blind eye. ;)
But definitely picking this up when it is released, gorgeous. And the artistic licensing of the little decisions here and there make it to be such a unique figure.

I'm going to call mine "Scar".

Honestly This is the Giganotosaurus that i wish Papo DID Create All the way back in 2012.   When all we had of the Dino Crisis 2 Giganotosaurus was the concept art and screen shots.

This shows that it can be done realisticly

Loon

I'm not one for big Theropods, not am I familiar with the source material, but this is impressive. The paint alone is beautiful, though isn't the game version more red and black? Either way, that's a cool looking figure.

If Papo had made a giganotosaurus as cool as Wan Long Teng's ..... it is a shame on Papo's part and a joy that Wan Long Teng does such wonder and beauty.

By the way, is that Giganotosaurus W-Dragon going to continue being like all the other figures with resin feet or is it going to be completely PVC? I am interested in it, because I have seen on ebay that this figure states that it is a statue and its PVC material. Could someone confirm if this figure is made of PVC?

avatar_Shonisaurus @Shonisaurus, question, and slightly off-topic, I've seen you post multiple times about not wanting any part of a figure to be resin, is there a reason for this?
I thought that adding resin to the feet of a PVC figure would be great, as there would no longer be any danger of the figure succumbing to summer heat.

I'm also curious: is summer heat that dangerous for figure in general, for any kind of materials ?
The room in which I'll have those will be quite hot in summer.

Thanks.

avatar_mgaguilar @mgaguilar and avatar_SenSx @SenSx I do not have the slightest inconvenience in the figure is made of resin I have the Favorite dinosaur figures of resin and the kosmoceratops of Jetoar, but in case of buying more resin dinosaur figures it would suppose an additional cost I would have to buy showcases that my economy does not can be allowed. Of course I like resin figures much more than PVC or vinyl! The problems I would have would be mainly the space that I would not have, since I know from experience that these figures need a looser space to avoid breakage. and on the other hand, except for W-Dragon or other brands, the vast majority of resin figures cost a fortune than my pockets, especially in times of crisis that is coming I can not afford or remotely.

PVC figures can be placed in a much less baggy way without causing strong breaks and abrasions and the price is much cheaper compared to resin figures. But honestly I like resin figures more than dinosaurs of another cheaper material, but for the specified reasons unfortunately I cannot get into the "adventure" of buying resin figures that are usually of much better quality.   :(

That is one of the reasons why I always ask if the figure / figures in question are made of resin or PVC.

I don't recall the Giga being hurt in the eye in DC2. It was the Rex that got shot in the eye.
It is a really good figure. Just wish the head is a wee bit larger.
I am pretty tempted by this. Sigh, am I starting a 'movie' monster collection now...

Actually, the Giganotosaurus in the game got disfigured in the explosion of the Missile Silo Facility after the first battle. During the last battle, it has monochrome milky white eyes and scars across its face.

I STILL HAVE THE GAME THIS IS THE GIGA I'VE ALWAYS WANTED GIVE IT TO ME NOW.

Ah, thanks for the info.

Side note, not sure if it was mentioned, looking at the Chinese characters for W-Dragon, it should be Wan Long Tang correct? Not Wan Long Teng.

PhilSauria

Well this one goes on my wants list - actually being able to get it is another thing!

Replaces the Apatosaurus which was priced beyond my means. More and more of these are being priced out of my range, maybe I'll start looking for other hobbies...

Hahaha, is this the definitive Giganotosaurus for you, excluding resin kits?

Pretty much this is it! Dino Crisis 2 introduced me to the Giga and when I got back into collecting 4 years ago all I searched up was Dino Crisis 2 Giga figures and models and found nothing. Glad I decided to come around when we got an explosion of representation of it for the last few years but none ever truly fulfilled my wishes like this one did. This is it for me, an iconic figure that quite nicely wraps these last few years of waiting for me. Well besides wanting a figure of it since I was 5 lol

Dinoxels

Why does it look extremely similar to the Mattel Siats?
Most (if not all) Rebor figures are mid

KeU

Is this the 1st W-Dragon figure with an articulated jaw?
I don't remember their female Rex or Spino having one.

Both are classified under Carcharodontosauria, and no actual skull of Siats was ever found.
Mattel probably just based it off a Carcharodontosaur.
Color might be a coincidence. Or they copied from DC2.

DC2 Giga's color were not exactlyt he same, it wasn't blue.
And yes to my knowledge this is the first W-Dragon with articulated mouth.

Shonisaurus

This W-Dragon giganotosaurus looks spectacular and the price of said figure is quite affordable considering the category of sculpture and material that is the W-Dragon giganotosaurus. Nice shape!
