Spinokaprogorgon

A late happy birthday! And I think pose no.2 is the best one
When life closes a door, open it again! It's a door that's how they work, dummies!

I'd have a preference for N°4 as it's less static, but only if you keep the classic shape, not the sketch.

Quote from: Stegotyranno420 on July 15, 2025, 11:58:19 PMOh yeah it was my birthday weeks ago but nobody remembered
Still remember the K/I-day on IG but again, HB avatar_Stegotyranno420 @Stegotyranno420

avatar_Protopatch @Protopatch merci! Thank you
avatar_Spinokaprogorgon @Spinokaprogorgon well, mersi to you as well  :*D ? Usually in my experience in Farsi my Afghani friends say "tashakur" however I recall they said that Iranian Farsi uses mersi as a French loan word.
Eventually I settled on 3 due to other votes in IG

Here is a sneak peak of the final (side view), the jp3 Spinosaurus (cue Animal I've Become")

As this is the last year of childhood and first year of adulthood (well at least in US, 18) I decided to honor my past with this design that has captivated me for so long.

Of course the final will be my own colors, I usually do not like to copy from other designs

Khahesh mikonam! Yes, we use tashakor but usually add "mikonam" at the end. Tashakor mikonam is more formal, while mersi is informal and more friendly, and we use it WAY more often. Other alternatives include damet garm, dastet dard nakone, and lotf kardi

avatar_Spinokaprogorgon @Spinokaprogorgon thanks, I mean, tashakor mi-konam  ^-^

Another (joke) variant.

People often want Goth GFs but why not a Goth Spinosaurus???

However it's up to you to determine if I mean Prussian Goth, Visigoth, Modern Goth...or all three  ;)

Here it is, the full 2025 Spinosaurus aegyptiacus

Comparison with Jharjiti and a possible new logo?

Well 2025 has been an instrumental and eventful year. This was the year I graduated and turned 18. Old life gone, new life begins. I know this message is repeated often, and it is sappy, but it is common for a reason. I joined the forum in late 2019 so it has almost been 6 years, meaning for about a third of my life I was on the forum. Every year since 2021 I tried to make the best Spinosaurus I could, and while I was often left frustrated by my illusion of being inadequate, so many people still enjoyed the output I could give. I have changed a lot, some for better and some for worse... but I hope Spinosaurus does not change again because I put so much work in this and if it gets obsolete—

Some people I would like to thank on the forum.
Andy's Dino Reviews (not sure if on forum) for helping me get back in Dinosaurs to begin with
avatar_Shonisaurus @Shonisaurus , though he is not often here nowadays he was a pleasant presence on here that everyone unanimously respected.
avatar_PrimevalRaptor @PrimevalRaptor for being one of my early inspirations and sources of advice
avatar_Concavenator @Concavenator for being not only very resourceful in helping my accuracy through these years, but also helping me improve in other fields
avatar_Perotorum @Perotorum for his own talents and his encouragement of mine, as well as the Dacentrurus he made for me :)
avatar_oscars_dinos @oscars_dinos helping me find a new outlook on art as a whole and expand my horizons

And everyone else who views my art. Even trivial comments accuracy go a long way, and show you all care
Bless

Concavenator

That's a stunner! As I told you before, it was shaping up to be my favorite Spino from you yet.

Brilliant ! A big thumb-up for this, and in general, for your amazing artwork 8)
Keep going this way Stego !

PS : the « gothic-style» version of Spino, seen somewhere else, is a stunner as well ;)

PrimevalRaptor

Oh wow, that's an amazing Spinosaurus, you have a great knack for blending the different patterns/colors and giving the textures a nice 'feel', very honored to be one of the inspirations on this road :D Looking forward to what else you'll put on the canvas!

Thank you so much, I recall when I first joined the forum I used to scroll your page of artworks, and also the advice you gave me earlier, especially about textures.  ^-^

Experimenting a bit, with a focus on the general picture vs the animals. Usually I put too much into the animal and less into the background, and or I just make the background based on the animal. This time I gave equal focus.
