With the COVID-19 outbreak, I have been working from home for the past 3 weeks now.
Since I have time to burn, I am picking my pencil back up after a few years of inactivity.
Thought that this is a good time to restart my doodle thread since the move from DTF vers 1 to vers 2.
While I finish up on my current piece, here are some work from years ago (oldest one is probably 15 years ago!).

Theropod Head Study

Theropod Size Comparison

Random Tyrannosaur (Shading Attempt)

Brett Booth styled Tyrannosaurus, Giganotosaurs, Torvosaurus, Ekrixinatosaurus (Back when Ekrixinatosaurus was thought to be a giant Abelisaur)

Brett Booth styled Spinosaurus (Old restoration)

Updated Theropod Size Comparison

Another shading attempt
S @Syndicate Bias, here's a Carcharodontosaurus for you, with an extra long neck like how Papo does it.

Shonisaurus

Those drawings have been great for you on the other hand the Brett Booth Spinosaurus style reminds me in his pose of the baryonyx of Collecta of 2019 (it is an appreciation of me) although obviously the body of both theropods, masterfully drawn by you and the sculptural figure differ totally.

Those drawings have been great for you, where did they teach you how to draw so well? Do you publish your works in a dinosaur publication or book? You have been fabled. I congratulate you.

Thank you for your kind words.
I am just an amateur sitting at home drawing.
Trust me, I am no where good enough for any sort of publication.

You will be like an amateur when it comes to drawing dinosaurs but honestly I would already like to draw a thousandth part of good than you. I honestly believe that your drawing has a more important artistic value than you claim. I really like your artistic work.

I approve of this Carcha. Now if you just make a doodle of a Giga standing triumphantly on a dead T Rex it'll be perfect  ;)

Nice work though I think you have the skills, if these are your initial attempts after a while then I see nothing but potential for even more complex stuff which makes me wonder if you just have that natural ability to draw good or if you were taught or just drew your way to that point. I never got good enough despite all the teachings and practise I had.

Kapitaenosavrvs

Really Nice Work. Don't make yourself that small, your "doodles" are great. You are skilled and it seems, that you like to do that. Tha last time i did something like this ist more than a year ago and it was just Dotwork. This Forum is so motivating. Seeing all the talented people here.

I would love to see more Stuff from you in the future. The Carcha looks really dynamic. Quite Papoesque. But in a good and better way:D

Thank you Syn.
Imma start planning out the poses the Giga over Rex piece.
I drew Dinosaurs since I was young, but nothing serious.
With the time at hand now, I am trying my hand on adding more details.
Just got done with 2 pieces, will be posting them shortly.

Alrighty.
Here we go.
A Tyrannosaurus and Giganotosaurus.
This is directly inspired by David Krentz's Regina Mundi and Dino Hazard's Carcharodontosaurus.
I love how both artists made the creatures big and muscular.
One can feel the power behind those bodies.
This is also my attempt to add more details into my drawings.
Can't lie, I am pretty pleased with the result.
I name the piece, 'Chunky Ladies'.

Shonisaurus

Beautiful drawing. I wonder if if the Giganotosaurus and Tyrannosaurus Rex had been contemporaries and they coexisted in the same geographical location, which of the two theropod colossi would have won the fight? We will never know that but it would be interesting. Leaving this aside, you have done an excellent job.

KeU

Companion piece to Chunky Ladies.
Spinosaurus and Torvosaurus.
Named this piece 'Related' since both animals are pretty closely related, both classified under the Megalosauroidea clade.
This is definitely a big step up in terms of time commitment to add all these details.
I'm gonna go rest my arm a little before starting on Syn's request.

Thank you.
It is nice to rediscover drawing again.
I think we already have too much discussion of those 2 competing on this forum already. And Spinosaurus too.
I know because I am partially involved.

Libraraptor

Beautiful drawings, keep them coming!

S @Syndicate Bias , here you go.
A Giga over Rex piece. Named 'Didn't You Get The Memo?'
This Giganotosaurus is going to learn the hard way for posing over a Tyrannosaurus.
The Spinosaurus and Indominus have learnt better than to pose for a money shot over a downed Tyrannosaurus.

I thought it would be fun to make use of the Papo Giganotosaurus pose in my work since it is so well 'liked' in this forum.
The Giganotosaurus is also based slightly off the Dino Crisis 2 monster.
Definitely gonna draw something other than a Theropod for my next piece.
The Tyrannosaurus, Spinosaurus, and Indominus are based off the creatures in the Jurassic Park/World series.

Oh this is perfect, may I borrow that drawing as my signature avatar_KeU @KeU ?

Even Suspy wouldn't know what to think about this  8)

The Dino Crisis 2 Giga was actually my first impression of the theropod. Kinda funny too considering that. After seeing that whole scene with it killing the T Rex it instantly became my favourite dinosaur. My only dissapointment was how much smaller it actually was years later after reading more about it. Still is my favourite to this day though.

S @Syndicate Bias , go ahead, it's yours!
I remember when the red Giga 1st appeared in the game and wiped the one-eyed Rex. I was blown away. Especially when you found the dino file just minutes earlier and wondering what the heck is that.

Sarapaurolophus

Hehehe! Love the little detail of a Simpsons-esque Brachio in the background ;D

Your usual drawings are gorgeous, btw.

Shonisaurus

I congratulate you for your drawings are very good. By the way, will you ever dare to paint a rajasaurus, majungasaurus or a concavenator?

Glad you noticed the Brachiosaurus (or Giraffatitan?) checking in on the action.
Thank you!

Thanks Shoni.
No Theropods for the next piece. Working on an Ornithopod piece now.
Perhaps a Shonisaurus and Shastasaurus next?

Syndicate Bias

Thanks bud, I noticed the head resembles the DC2 Giga as well which reminds me 🤔
