This is just for kicks and giggles, folks. I was thinking about moments in cinema where giant beasts clashed. So feel free to cast your vote for you favorite "Battle Royale." This is mainly for conflicts where at least one opponent is a dinosaur.

This is mainly for films made in the 1980s and beyond. I wasn't around for some a lot of early films of the Ray Harryhausen era. If someone feels inclined, you can make a similar poll for movies from that time. Or just vote for the last option and post your selection below.

Have fun! Sorry if I left any out!

I'm not counting dino doc fight scenes b/c they're usually meant to be more realistic than dino movie fight scenes (& thus, like comparing apples & oranges). Of the dino movie fight scenes listed above, Littlefoot's Mom vs Sharptooth (The Land Before Time, 1988) is definitely the overall best (I.e. Action, music, story, etc) w/T. rex vs Velociraptors (JP 1993) being 2nd (Short but sweet; Also, it's "Velociraptor", not "Velociraptors"). None of the others listed above come close. Of those, the only ones even worth mentioning are King Kong vs Vastatosauruses (King Kong 2005) (Too over the top, especially compared to the original; Also, it's "Vastatosaurus", not "Vastatosauruses"), Spinosaurus vs T. rex (JP III, 2001) (It felt like they were trying to force the Spino on us), & T. rex-Blue-Mosasaurus vs Indominus rex (JW, 2015) (As other have pointed out, the CGI is terrible). That's the problem w/only going back to 1988, you leave out most of the best dino movie fight scenes. Off the top of my head, there's the following.

Do not like any dinosaur fighting scenes at all. Far too much cliche.

Does "Al's Fifth Year" from "The Ballad of Big Al"/"Allosuarus: A Walking with Dinosaurus Special" count as a dinosaur fight scene?

Kong vs Tyrannosaurus from the 1933 original is the quintessential fight scene.

I know you're thinking of more modern films, but this still takes the cake.
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

Some of my favorites:
A Ceratosaurus takes down a Stegosaurus and then is attacked by another Ceratosaurus looking to steal a meal in The Animal World (1956)
A Styracosaurus gets the better of a Tyrannosaurus against the backdrop of an erupting volcano in the short film Dinosaurs:The Terrible Lizards (1970)

Don't you hate it when you legitimately compliment someone's mustache and she gets angry with you?

HD-Man posted two that I would pick. The clips from Prehistoric Beast and 1 Million Years B.C. with the later maybe being my all time favorite. I suppose I should contribute something though.

The Lost World 1925, for something really old.

Those 2 movies have so many dino fights that I don't think I could pick just 1 from each.

BTW the poll also leaves out a bunch of post-1988 fight scenes that are much better than most of those listed.

The movie itself is just OK, but I really like this fight scene:

This movie has a bunch of great fight scenes, but my favorite is Heart saving Umasou (~50-52:00):
