I'm not sure when these were released, but Yodobashi appears to have listed them for sale in August 2019. A series of 16 articulated dinosaur figures from a company called Yamasan. I can imagine that select figures might be of interest to a few people here.

MV-D01 Tyrannosaurus

MV-D02 Triceratops

MV-D03 Spinosaurus

MV-D04 Brachiosaurus

MV-D05 Pteranodon

MV-D06 Deinonychus

MV-D07 Fukuiraptor

MV-D08 Futabasaurus

MV-D09 Diplodocus

MV-D10 Allosaurus

MV-D11 Stegosaurus

MV-D12 Ankylosaurus

MV-D13 Parasaurolophus

MV-D14 Therizinosaurus

MV-D15 Archaeopteryx

MV-D16 Fukuisaurus

Compared to the figures, the box art is optimistic:

Those are at least interesting, if a little crude.

I quite like the Archaeopteryx, do you any informations on the dimensions of the figures?

Jose S.M.

Someone feed that Brachiosaurus please!  🤣 Some are kind of nice and some not so much. Fukuisaurus is  to me the nicest of those.

avatar_Halzk @Halzk they're pretty small. The Archaeopteryx is around 8 cm long (https://www.yodobashi.com/product/100000001005091000/) and the Diplodocus is about 11 cm (https://www.yodobashi.com/product/100000001005090994/). They make me think of posable Eikoh figures.

I agree the Fukuisaurus is the best one.

I didn't noticed it at first but the Spinosaurs looks a lot like the ones from Primeval and Dinoraul

I like the Bajadasaurus, Deinocheirus, and Yutyrannus. The Mosasaurus is also kind of cute thanks to the huge eyes they gave it. Where can one purchase these? How big are their figures as well? Like Ania sized, or larger?

avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin I found them on Rakuten: https://item.rakuten.co.jp/auc-yamasan-geo/c/0000000178/

The length given for the Albertosaurus is 10cm, so I think that's somewhere between 1/2 to 2/3 the length of an Ania figure. They're quite small.

avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres Oh wow. That's pretty interesting, especially pulling off articulation at that size (though even the tiny Mattel minis managed to pull that off somehow). May have to place an order with brett for these in the future, but I really need to pay him off first, before worrying about more things like this. I certainly prefer this style of articulation too, compared to the Ania style. Thanks for sharing the link too. I'll bookmark it for the meantime.

Edit: Yeah wow definitely smaller then the Takara Tomy Ania figures. This review has a comparison between the Allosaurus for example:

Here's another video showing the other older ones (even this Triceratops has jaw articulation, compared to Mattel's HC figure. Like bruh.):

Some of these are actually pretty decent looking, while others like mentioned previously are pretty crude.
Honestly I may eventually try and track Down a few of these in the future.
