avatar_Appalachiosaurus @Appalachiosaurus I believe he was referring to the design and colors(since both are jp related), not just the accuracy. More accurate doesn't necessarily mean accurate. The jp spinosaurus is more accurate than the retro spinosaurus, but its not accurate by any means.

The Mattel Carch has a more accurate skull than the JP: Builder one though.

Reuben03

stegotyranno was right pretty much yeah, i was saying that both design and accuracy wise, minus the wrists and half-lips (which is an issue on both so im not too bothered there)
the JP builder one is superior.

Mate, the JP: Builder's head is as wide as an alligator.
stylistic choice, so were all of the dinosaurs in JP:B.
they were disproportionate to match the art style,
and yet the skull is still more accurate to the real thing, with the eye in the right place and the skull more rounded, you can see it very clearly! the skull on the JP:B one is more accurate

It only looks rounder because of that pictures angle. Look at the patterns on the head which mark the profile dimensions.

More Amber Collection reveals (from listings found on Amazon already, with expected arrival in September):

https://www.instagram.com/p/COt5TTGlaU4/

Robert Muldoon and the infant T. rex with compies. So exciting. Nearly the whole cast of JP will be done. Just where is Dr. Grant?  ??? I swear I saw a listing for him somewhere earlier on in the year.

Since these aren't intended to be revealed now, I'm going to place the images in a spoiler tag, but if anyone knows how to find them, they are up there (for the time being).

Awesome, they really are ramping up this line.

Grant was mentioned before along with others including the Pyroraptor as I recall, so I'm not sure if he is a JP,JP3,or Dominion figure version?

I stopped by Dollar Tree today and they now have the Micro Collection for sale, I picked up the Dimetrodon.

New in box image of Tyrannosaurus Escape set:

It is absolutely glorious and I hope the backdrop can be pulled out/used separately. I think my only gripe is with the T. rex (missing Lex aside), as it doesn't appear to have striping as seen in the promo pics, but rather the same or similar pattern to many of the EC figures already. I think they nailed the look of the face coloration though and that is impressive.

Great we get a look at Tim without the night goggles on finally. Cannot wait to get my hands on this set and go ham with it (and my JPIII Raptor Attack set. The Explorer looks amazing too.

Edit: It appears the image was actually posted up on Smyths website originally.

Felt like this was worthy of a double post but it is available on Target's website for pre-order now. Expected arrival date in August. Price is $49.99.

Definitely worth watching the video to get a better look at the Explorer and Tim mostly. I think the Explorer would have benefitted from a decal for the tour computer inside it but that's a very minor issue. I'm sure someone like Ted Brothers will find a way to customize that and share the method with us.

Thanks, I almost forgot the preorder was today.

This is a small thing, but I love the fact that they have the plastic widows on this set. Gonna be tough to unbox this one.

terrorchicken

which T-Rex figure are they using for this set? it looks like Extreme Chomping.

Faelrin

avatar_terrorchicken @terrorchicken It is indeed. Which also means it is slightly too small (for anyone bothered) but the Epic Roarin is pretty close in coloration (just a bit brighter especially on the belly) to be used as an alternative that scales better. It is also the only other option without the pale jaw coloring so typically used.

It'll be my fourth figure of this sculpt not counting the retooled Extreme Damage one, or three since they revised the sculpt and fixed the tongue and added more detail to the face since the original 2018 release (middle of the year the revised version came out that has been used since), which I also have.

Honestly though looking back this is still my favorite T.rex sculpt other then the Epic Roarin one. The Extreme Damage takes it up a notch with the jaw articulation (both top and bottom) in my opinion but the chomping gimmick is a fun one too. I just love the articulation on these. Honestly a more posable tail and again, jaw articulation, would be even better for me.

I didn't really think of this before (or did I? can't remember) but this will be really cool to pose alongside last year's set, especially with the raptors and banner to recreate the end scene aside from the one intended here.

Also since they've nearly exhausted Legacy Collection potential for JP (other then like a Visitor's Center set, and/or Paddock set, raptor holding pen set, damaged Explorer tree set, Gennaro in breakable toilet set, and raptor in the kitchen set, other missing characters aside), I wonder if we'll finally get new takes on things or characters from the other films particularly TLW (Roland and Ajay, and Sarah and Eddie for example, if not a trailer set), if not JPIII (still missing the male raptor at the very least).

avatar_Eocarcharia @Eocarcharia I did surprisingly a few weeks ago. Went to pick one up that I ordered through Walmart's website (at retail price), and checked out their store to see what they had and surprisingly they had a few on the shelves. The black Cryolophosaurus still alludes me but it appears to be in the same case as the Sinoceratops (and Baryonyx Grim). I had that one pre-ordered on Amazon like a month ago and it keeps getting delayed. Doubt they are getting it at this rate.

Edit: Not related but may as well add this here. New in box pic of the Super Colossal Carnotaurus:

Looks a little off, but I'm guessing that's due to the angle of the shot. Probably looks much better directly on.

Has anyone been finding the new green Sinoceratops in stores?

My local Walmart had 4 of the green Sinoceratops last week (which was basically the only JW stuff they had).

Ok, cool. I had seen a photo from Collect Jurassic showing it and the Cryo at Target, but it's good to know that Walmart is stocking them decently well too. This gives me hope of actually finding it.

I have the old EC Battle Damage T-rex but I always preferred this coloration. I had a chance to get it last year when it was easily available at Amazon but never got around to having enough money left over for it. This is a nice set but Id really just want the Rex.
