The Battat Terra is easily my favorite one so far in my non Mattel Jurassic collection. Granted I'm still behind on picking up the Safari Ltd and CollectA Deluxe ones too. Also still eagerly anticipating PNSO to reveal theirs.

As far as the Jurassic Park/World ones go I'd rank Kenner's, then Mattel's. I'm behind on getting the Kenner one, but it has been on my wishlist for years.

I also like the color scheme on the repainted Papo one released this year. I suppose it's the only thing to make that one appealing to me since I wasn't the biggest fan of the sculpt prior.

I am not a fan of Battat Terra, but I can say that their Para is gorgeous. Love the colors on it and the pose. Yes it is outdated, but I would say it is equal to or even better than Safari's. I love Safari's but I can not lie that Battat's is possibly better.

I agree with all of this. The Battat Parasaurolophus is my favorite and I also prefer the Kenner over the Mattel. Shoutout to both of the Favorite (brand) figures as well.

Also, I must give a shoutout to my favorite Parasaurolophus toy from my childhood. Easily one of my most played with dinosaur toys.

How is the Battat one outdated? Is it the hoof thing? The neck is too skinny based on the latest research but so are all paras on the market.

Another vote for Battat. The Safari and Kaiyodo ones are quite nice too, but both are a bit small for my preferences. Favorite's versions are pretty good. The CollectA deluxe version is half-decent. All the rest are meh at best.

I'm a big fan of this sculpt too. I also like the current Safari one, but it's too small for my liking, though I do have one. It will be interesting to see what PNSO can do when they issue theirs.

Collecta Paraceratherium  :D

Ha ha, if we're playing this way, then I'm going with Bullyland Paratypothorax.

The hoof thing yes, only slightly bothers me, but it is also the thin piece of skin that is attached from the neck to the crest. Not sure if this is still speculation, but from what I have seen this is outdated? Correct me if I am wrong please.

My favorite Parasaurolophus is definitely the Schleich 2007 Replica-saurus. I still have the one I owned back when I was a child. It was my favorite dinosaur toy back then and is still one of my favorite piece of my collection. Even if, accuracy-wise, it did not stand the test of time, it still is really beautiful, with really nice details and paint job. I just love this toy.

Libraraptor

Honestly I think Parasaurolophus is an overrated species. Sorry.  I do have some of which I find the Safari one is still the best.

Gothmog the Baryonyx

My favourite "Para" toy is the Safari Ltd Parasaurolophus.
My second favourite is the Bullyland Paratypothorax.
My third would be a tie between the Battat Parasaurolophus and the IToy Paraceratherium, though I hope someone else releases a Paraceratherium about half the size or slightly over so I don't have to get that one.
Megalosaurus, Iguanodon, Archaeopteryx, Cetiosaurus, Compsognathus, Hadrosaurus, Brontosaurus, Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, Albertosaurus, Herrerasaurus, Stenonychosaurus, Deinonychus, Maiasaura, Carnotaurus, Baryonyx, Argentinosaurus, Sinosauropteryx, Microraptor, Citipati, Mei, Tianyulong, Kulindadromeus, Zhenyuanlong, Yutyrannus, Borealopelta, Caihong

I'd agree, especially since when a company makes a hadrosaur it is typically a Parasaurolophus.

Faelrin

avatar_Libraraptor @Libraraptor You know you make a fair point, and honestly I have to wonder why it is that Parasaurolophus has become the go-to ornithopod? I feel like it gets more exposure then even Iguanodon in toy lines and such (despite a certain Disney movie focused on them).

I mean I love it because of the tube like head ornamentation (much in the same reason I love Pteranodon), but there are also plenty of others with interesting head ornamentation's too like Corythosaurus, Lambeosaurus, Olorotitan, etc.

The hoof thing yes, only slightly bothers me, but it is also the thin piece of skin that is attached from the neck to the crest. Not sure if this is still speculation, but from what I have seen this is outdated? Correct me if I am wrong please.

I've seen people say the skin flap is wrong because it was based on the thought that a ligament connected to the crest, which is not true. But people are confusing two different issues. The skin flap was a hypothesis based on 1) striations on the end of the crest and 2) the presence of skin flaps along the back in other hadrosaurs. Both of those are still valid clues, but the presence and extent of the flap is still basically just speculation. In the 20s some scientists took this further and thought the crest might anchor the nuchal ligament, giving Para a very thick neck that incorporated the crest as an interior structure (!). This is obviously false, but really has nothing to do with the presence or extent of any possible soft tissue fringe.

Basically, we know Para likely had a thick neck, but the muscles were not connected in any way to the crest. We know some other hadrosaurs have soft tissue fringes along the back. We don't know if Para had a soft tissue fringe along the back, or if it might have connected to the crest. But it's possible, and there are those ridges on the crest that might, potentially, have been a spot for it to anchor. So I wouldn't say the crest flap is wrong, just speculative.

One weird thing I realized double checking this info: Osborn noticed the ridges and instructed Charles Knight to restore Parasaurolophus with a skin flap generally in the shape of a basilisk crest. Everyone else copied Knight, of course. But from my reading, the ridges in question are on the DORSAL side of the crest tip. So if one were to restore soft tissue connected to the crest, maybe there should also be some soft tissue stuff extending from the top!

My favorite Paraceratherium is from Eofauna.
My favorite Parasaurolophus is from PNSO.

Neither of them have been done or released, but they will be my favorites.
