Pre-ordering soon, the 30cm Polystone 'One Million Years B.C.' Ceratosaurus, with diorama base and cave persons, for a '21Q2 release. SRP: $315

Blade-of-the-Moon

Tempting but I have the Allosaurus and Triceratops sets preordered already and nothing delivered yet. I think I'll wait to order til I at least  get the Allosaurus.

I just made the final payment before shipping on my Allosaurus. Hoping that ships within the next few days.

I'm hearing that the Triceratops has been pushed back to Jan/Feb.

What bothers me is the Ceratosaurus is Polystone Resin, unlike the others which are vinyl... adds $100 to the price!

Wish the Allosaurus set was shipping as well.  I bet the base was the resin for the price hike, it's quite large.

Yeah, on the vinyl figures the bases are polystone, but on the Ceratosaurus, the entire figure and the base is polystone.

If I drop it, it would shatter (unlikely but you never know). Not sure about getting that one. It's more expensive and I think the figures are not in scale with it (too small). The Allosaurus is my favourite from the film, so that's on order

Blade-of-the-Moon

Still no word on the set with Tumak. I did see a review online...surely a lone caveman can't be such a huge delaying factor.

X-Plus hosted a live stream dedicated to their Harryhausen line, and revealed the unpainted, but completed sculpt, of GWANGI!

The figure will be rendered in Soft Vinyl, and features the smallest scales and detailing of all the X-Plus Harryhausen dinosaurs, which already includes the Allosaurus, Triceratops and Ceratosaurus from One Million Years B.C...

X-Plus/Star Ace have pulled the release date on both the Allosaurus DX and both versions of the Triceratops. This is a temporary delay, not a cancellation. Apparently covid nonsense has affected the production of the human characters, which are flocked with fur.

Hopefully they'll give us a new release date for each one soon.

Way bigger than expected..

Blade-of-the-Moon

Gwangi head sculpt seems a bit thin on top? Maybe slightly too wide?

Geez, it seems a poor excuse? I can get faux fur and make an outfit at any craft store.  What bugs me is that like Robin, others have received the set already and the lone Allosaurus is out and in stock.  I ordered as soon as I heard about it early last year.  They are releasing new preorders and I've ordered each from Awesome Collector, I actually think I would cancel if it wasn't for the charge incurred and money lost.

At this rate the Ceratosaurus will be my first piece unless they delay everything until the first ones are released...

It seems like Asian retailers got some of the DX, just as happened with the STD ver.

Japanese retailers had the STD ver two months before any North American retailer had them.

WonderFest Shanghai is June 13th/14th and apparently Star Ace will unveil the first couple products in a revived line of prehistoric animals, including a Woolly Mammoth and a Concaventator. The Coelacanth was originally released in 2016, and may be seeing a re-release as part of this new line.

This is the only photo I have, more as I see them...

That Concavenator looks an awful lot like Sean Cooper's resin kit.

I was thinking the same. Unless he is somehow involved, I don't believe it's a good way to start a prehistoric line.

X-Plus does NOT recast or bootleg. If it's Cooper's, it's licensed.

I just got informed the Coelacanth and Mammoth are Cooper's work too (I didn't remember them), so a license seems more plausible.

Dusty Wren

That's good to hear. Thanks for that, avatar_Mattyonyx @Mattyonyx. I really like the mammoth (I didn't recognize it, either), so I'm curious what the pricing/availability will be.
