Jurassic Park's own paleobotanist Ellie Sattler has a fossil conifer named for her! Brachyphyllum sattlerae belongs to the Araucarian family, whose most famous modern member is the Monkey Puzzle Tree. Widespread in the Cretaceous, araucarians are today limited to South American and Southeast Asia.

So long as it doesn't give Triceratops stomach problems, is all good!

If you're going to have an honorific for a fictional character, that's the one to pick! I just hope we never see anything named after Owen Grady!
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

A bit late to this, but this is really nice seeing this. Would love to see a dromaeosaurid named after Grant too someday.

I know there was like also a dinosaur I think named (well species name) from the initials of most or all of the cast members names as well. I stumbled upon it recently looking for what had (mostly) complete specimens out there. Can't believe I didn't think to write it down.

Glaukoraptor gradyii ;D

It's nice that they named a prehistoric creature after someone from a movie featuring prehistoric creatures for once. I mean, look how many creatures are named after Star Wars characters instead.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no
