Not a true diorama, but after weeks of dull, overcast skies, a day of full sun and snow made me leave
the house with joy. In my pack some figures, as made for this weather, though the true animals knew
much harsher conditions.... enjoy....

(Yes, I am aware of the differing and partly not contemporary species choosen, but I got no mammoth
herd and I deemed it sufficient for a fun theme ;)

Love that old Bullyland Wooly Rhino - great seasonal display - thanks for sharing.

Gothmog the Baryonyx

That looks really good, nice to make use out of the weather too

Should do the same thing as long as we have got snow.

indohyus

Nicely done! Wish we had more snow here, would do the same.

Sarapaurolophus

Ah, I wish our snow wouldn't melt away the moment it touches ground...

Really digging this one! Looks like a movie scene.

Thanks for all your comments :)

I live in the Rhine valley and if we got snow, it usually also melts within the day. Shots were taken 10 km from here
on higher ground in the Odenwald, near the Felsenmeer (Sea of Stones), friends of ours live there and knew a location
to toboggan away from the masses that are scattered by local police due to Corona lockdown rules.

I love the first one. For a moment I thought it was real

I sincerely congratulate you on your diorama with the snow that is hitting Europe, it has been great. Honestly all the Ice Age prehistoric mammal figures shown are great but honestly the one that surpasses them all from my humble opinion, is by far the megaloceros of Papo, it is the best made figure of all those prehistoric mammals by far, regardless that the rest are outstanding and even some of them, such as the American mammoth or mastodon, are even the definitive figure of that species in the toy market.

Nice photography but above all nice and bright idea of yours when taking those pictures, good taste and what was said very intelligently all the photographs are taken. Pity that the snowstorm is ending at least in my nation (the ice is disappearing), in my case, with this storm I have lived an unforgettable moment and an extremely positive and pleasant experience despite everything that has happened.

These are delightful. We had about 30 cm of snow this weekend, I should have taken my one mammoth out.
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

Cryonyx

Wow, looks pretty good. You can almost feel the cold from the images. I like how the sun and the snow are in the photos, giving it a light but cold feel.
Imagine all the species of dinosaurs, including mountain ones, that we will never discover because fossilization conditions weren't good where they lived. There'll be hundreds of dinosaurs that will stay undiscovered, not a trace left behind.

We got some snow here too, which is somewhat rare where I'm at. I thought about doing the same as you, especially since I only just recently got the Safari Mastodon. Now the snow is melted and it is too late. Well done!
