Heyo! There is already an austroraptor mod out there I believe, by Hockal, definitely one of the best modders out there! This pack has me kind of mixed, in one hand it's a real downgrade from previous offerings, but on the other hand, Spinoraptor my beloved, and the new Ankylodocus is quite nice. I'm strongly considering making a mod to replace these with some classic jp themed critters. I had Megaraptor for Spino and Shunosaurus or Ampelosaurus for Ankylodocus, but I am curious if anyone has any ideas for the two sauropods! I was thinking maybe torosaurus for Stego...

DefinitelyNOTDilo

Nevermind, I seem to have forgotten torosaurus is already in the game lmao.

Faelrin

avatar_DefinitelyNOTDilo @DefinitelyNOTDilo Oh, thanks for the reminder about that mod. I forgot about it. Maybe they could update it to use the Spinoraptor rig instead so it can properly eat fish? I messaged the author, just in case.

I would be down with either of those sauropods. Shunosaurus is probably the go-to because of the club.

Maybe an old school Agathaumas for the Stegoceratops? Or even a more film canon one based on the Nasutoceratops. There was a mod for JWE that actually did this that I used to use.

I was actually leaning towards ampelosaurus just because of the osteoderms and the fact that, let's be honest, if I removed the tail club it wouldn't matter as it does use it anyways lmao. As for Stegoceratops, I just found Titanoceratops and I quite like it. Sino is still proving quite difficult as there simply aren't any centrosaurines that are big enough, I may end up simply scaling it down and turning it into einosaurus

Now that I think about it, the lux skins/patterns give me the same vibes of Ark Aberration's bioluminescent creatures. Might be interesting to do a park themed off the DLC with multiple park levels (using the colorable lights to represent the different biomes glows and gems).

Saw this posted on the JWE2 subreddit. Appears to be a teaser of Otodus megalodon. From what I gather another species pack is coming out soon (aside from the stuff going on in the steamdb as of late).

The op is getting majorly reconstructed. Some of the progress is already done. Need to add back images tomorrow. Removed the new and returning lists as I feel they are redundant now. Plan to add lists sorted by continent and country, maybe by group as well (like this thread originally with the JWE creatures had when the game was announced). Separated the base game creatures into new and returning.

Finally added the Secret Species Pack lol, and the new teased shark.

Brontozaurus

I know there's no chance it's not Megalodon, but after watching the subreddit go insane today with people arguing over Cenozoic packs, if Frontier reveal it's actually Cretoxyrhina or some other Mesozoic shark I'll die laughing.

Alright, progress through the op is about halfway done (minus the new sections which I have yet to work on), at least until the Late Cretaceous Pack. Tomorrow I'll try to get the rest of the new images added, field guide links added, etc.

Got a new teaser today showing there's kelp coming to the game, probably as a lagoon decoration (though brush would be ideal).

Also another Jurassic World game from Frontier was revealed to be coming, so possibly JWE3, not like officially yet, but from here:

Prehistory Resurrection

#271
Park Managers' Collection Pack Trailer:
Coming 16th May

Microceratus;

Megalodon!:

Segisaurus:

Thanatosdrakon:

Prehistory Resurrection

#272
Time to share my thoughts;
At last, Microceratus! What a cutie! Hope to see the on-screen Dominion blue-ish colouration. All the canon species are finally here, except for the Smilodon. Edit: And with the release of Chaos Theory, the Becklespinax and the on screen skins of Suchomimus and Pachyrhinosaurus.

Megalodon! What a surprise! Cannot wait to see its animations. First Cenozoic species in this game. Maybe soon, we'll get the Smilodon, who knows? Maybe in JWE3... I have the Meg in Jurassic World: The Game. Interesting take on the colouration; not the usual grayish colouration for as seen on modern-day Great White sharks. From the image, it's seen that it can jump out of the water and feed itself, just like the Mosasaurus. Nice! But a shark eating a shark; cannibalism lol!

Segisaurus! Nice to finally see it on screen after being only a skull icon on the Jurassic Park Map all this time.

And Thanatosdrakon! First time hearing about it. What a tongue twister. Nice to see another Azhdarchid apart from the Quetzalcoatlus. Edit: Seeing everyone saying that Hatzegopteryx would be a better choice; I agree. It's better known and even Hatzegopteryx and Alanqa are in Jurassic World The Game. But still, it's nice to see a lesser known species making its way in the game.

Dilopho

The Megalodon is beautiful, what a great take on it. But it's coupled with such a boring Segisaurus. Couldn't they have done something to make it stand out, some feathers, quills, a wattle, anything?

I like that Microceratus is finally here, but... I have to be honest, that Dominion design of it really unneverves me. It's like a pug version of the real thing with a smushed-up face.

Thanatosdrakon is so funny, why is it here? It's great to see another large pterosaur, but 3 of these are highly requested species, is Thanatosdrakon a highly request species from fans too? I would've thought they'd go with Hatzegopteryx.

Faelrin

The free update seems like it is gonna be pretty bare bones. Kelp decorations (no brush sadly), and those lagoon lights will be available for use on land now. Well it is two things I really wanted, but hope there's a little more to come then just this, when the last dlc release only had a few bug fixes and that was it. But seeing confirmation of another Jurassic game now, it's like this is it, like a "thanks for the fish and so long" moment. No doubt this will be the last pack. They had the 10th planned for a while per an accidental leak with one of the updates on Steam (pre-Biosyn DLC release).

It seems this is a fan community picks pack. Honestly kind of feel meh on this. I mean good for the folks that want this stuff, but Microceratus aside, nothing here particularly interests me too much (the new pterosaur is nice though, but I still prefer Quetzalcoatlus). At least one dude on the JWE reddit was clamoring for Segisaurus (until he got himself banned) so he must be happy now. Thanatosdrakon was named two years ago, and has reasonable remains. That said the community was asking for Hatzegopteryx (and to a lesser extent Rhamphorhynchus), so this feels like a random inclusion. Some folks suggested on reddit that they might have gone with it, because it was smaller then Quetzalcoatlus and Hatzegopteryx, and would have looked less out of place in the aviary. Who knows. Plateosaurus, Shantungosaurus, Argentinosaurus, and Irritator were also high community wants. Perhaps they'll be added for next game instead (hopefully), along with highly requested features like sauropod combat, pterosaurs walking, deeper water/swimming animals, etc.

avatar_Dilopho @Dilopho I think the reason it looks like that is because they put the eyes in the wrong hole, lol.

Camzilla94

With Segi it looks like they were going for the JP'93 kinda aesthetic.

MLMjp

Microceratus...I can finally die in peace. Why pick a species not even paleontologist remember it exist instead of Hatzegopteryx is the most WTF thing for me.

Segisaurus...sigh, literally a worse looking Coelophysis, whoever took the decision to put it's name on the Jurassic Park Map back in 1993 has my eternal hate. I'm exaggerating but you get the point.

But my biggest concern is not about the DLC but the free update, no mention of additional Skin variant...C'mon! At least make some for 93 Triceratops! If there is not a surprise later...

Faelrin

The lack of '93 Triceratops variant is a big disappointment honestly. It's the last one that desperately needs a variant (maybe other then Dominion Parasaurolophus and the feathered T. rex).

I also wish they gave this game multiple dig teams. It's unfortunate they never added that in.
