I don't care about the Maisie, or any human figure outside of the first movie, but I'll have to get that set for the Lystrosaurus. Beta is cute too so I'll consider that a bonus.

Flaffy

Thanks for posting the pics avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin .

I hope the Lystrosaurus gets a standalone release, as I don't really care to collect the JW human characters (saving that budget for legacy JP characters); and I certainly don't need what essentially is a disproportionate, cartoonish version of Blue.

Weird how they omitted the sprawling posture of Lystrosaurus, and the eye paint makes it look rather cartoonish compared to the animatronic. But still, nice to see more non-dinosaurs in the line-up. Hopefully we'll get a Microceratus down the road as well.

Faelrin

Thanks for pointing that out. I didn't even catch that at first. Like you said it is odd to neglect that sprawling posture since the film one has it. Still I've been waiting for a mainline one to show up since the animatronic was revealed, and this will do nicely, despite that. At least it's far more closer then what happened with the Moros (and to a lesser degree, the Pyroraptor and Giganotosaurus).

I also agree it would be nice to see them repack the Lystrosaurus as a stand alone release. Maybe they could do that in next year's line? For now I plan to pick up this set, since it also comes with Beta, and so I can skip the set with Owen (despite the nice fox accessory), since it's the same figure included in the Carnotaurus & Atrociraptor pack I got.

I'm not gonna look a gift horse in the mouth, I'll take this Lystrosaurus because if they never release a standalone one then I would be SOL. Maisie will just have to live inside my Colossal T. rex with my other unwanted humans.

Faelrin

avatar_Gwangi @Gwangi Lol well that's one brilliant way to store them.

More reveals. Wave 3 Ferocious pack Moros repaint (more in line with the prologue's coloration. I'll pick this one as it is a nice compromise for now with the inaccurate sculpt), a red Velociraptor, Einiosaurus, and Atrociraptor Panthera. Not sure where the pics where found, so these instagram links will have to do for now unfortunately.

Also finally got reveals of the Dimetrodon & Grant set, and the Pyroraptor & Kayla set. I really like the Grant set, and while I plan to pick up the set for Kayla, I'm really disappointed in all these Pyroraptor reveals. I wish they had the blue on this one. I'll keep repeating that I want a more film accurate HC one. But this sets in stone that I'll probably pick up the Takara Tomy one in the meantime since it does the colors and sculpt much better, and has some limited articulation (aside from the Captivz one, which does not appear to have any articulation).

Einiosaurus was certainly unexpected but looks pretty good when you consider how atrocious the rest of these ferocious packs have been. Definitely excited for Grant and Kayla* to make an appearance. Although the Pyroraptor is an undeniable letdown, that dimetrodon looks to be the most screen accurate yet! Now it looks like all we need is Ellie before the central protagonists are covered!

*Hopefully her character doesn't suck like Fallen Kingdom's new additions, otherwise I'll just be annoyed she got priority over Ellie  ::)

No reason to get the BD or Ferocious Pack Dimetrodons with this one coming! The colours used are far more pleasing than the neon-lime imo.

A shame they're still using that Moros sculpt, but at least the paintjob isn't an eyesore this time around.

And the dreaded crouching raptor pose is back... Yay. Hopefully "Panthera" won't only be stuck in that pose for all it's figures.

Flaffy

I wonder why Mattel decided to omit Einiosaurus's defining trait: its downward turned horn.

I don't see how any sculptor could possibly make such a glaring mistake given most if not all references of Einiosaurus show it with its distinctive curved horn. Maybe the sculptor referenced Krentz's subadult?

ItsTwentyBelow

Ahhh some new figures!  :))

The Dr. Malcolm pack is the first time I've seen anything about giant bugs, so guess I will find out what that's about once I see the movie. Probably going to grab that pack even though I don't need another raptor. Sooo happy Grant is packed with a Dimetrodon and not that Pyroraptor, because I'm waiting for a new, better Pyro sculpt. The Dimetrodon looks great and is for sure the one to wait for. Einiosaurus is a surprise and looks pretty good! I think the nose horn is fine because surely there would have been some degree of individual variation.

On another note, my patience paid off and today I found the Shringasaurus at my nearest Fred Meyer! Heads up to anyone looking for this wave for retail, I saw several Fred Meyers finally stocking them for the first time a couple weeks ago.

Gwangi

The Einiosaurus is neat, I'll probably pick up that one. It looks to be the only Ferocious Pack I'll be getting from that wave. I did get the ED Dimetrodon but I like this one more, I might get it. Don't really care about having that Grant though as I'll be getting the Hammond Collection one.

I grabbed (or rather, my wife did) a few of those Pop Ups at Target today. I thought they would be spring loaded and "pop up" when you pushed down on them. They don't. You push them down and they just stay that way like they're asleep. They're cute but not as fun as the Snap Squads.

I assume it's a keratin extension.
Shrek 4 is an underrated masterpiece

The Moros looks better in those dark colours. The first one really was fugly.

Some footage of the new Ultimate Pyroraptor. Looks much better then the promo images made it look. I think it is interesting the feathers on the head are tied to the action features it has. Kind of reminds me of a mix of the Primal Pal Blue and the robotic one from 2018. Unfortunately reuses Indoraptor, Indominus rex, and Velociraptor sounds, alongside the new ones I think. Also fyi if you have headphones on turn the volume down. Whoever recorded this doesn't have the best mic, and there's excessive and loud background noise.

I feel like this is the one Pyroraptor toy I can forgive them not putting wings on it since I could make the argument that it's a baby and its wing feathers haven't come in yet.
I'm excited for REBOR's Acro!  Can't ya tell?

Just a reminder. The Mattel Creations Malcolm goes up for sale in less then 3 hours from now.

Edit: Forgot to mention I got one. Also how cool is it to see the man himself unbox it:

I've been sick since last weekend so I didn't have the energy to post.

The Dr. Grant set has hands down the best version of Dimetrodon. I could say the same about the Pyroraptor in the Kayla set (despite the lack of wings) this one paint looks better than the other versions. Now let's hope human set arrive in my country so I can get these.

Moros repaint looking 100 times better than the original, sculpt is still inaccurate but the colors are much more closer to the prologue one. Also I like the Einiosaurus, despite the not so down pointing horn.

Now, does anyone have the feeling that there's barely anything left to be revealed and quite the amount that needs to be announced?

For example, we already have up to three waves of Ferocious pack and roar strikers. Unless there is a 4th wave (with I doubt) there is no room left for standard ferocious pack releases of Atrocirator Ghost, Pyroraptor, Lystrosaurus...And don't forget about Oviraptor (even if this one is prologue-only) and Atrociraptor Tiger who dont even have toys yet.

There is no (adult) Nasutoceratops figure despite it being in the film, meanwhile you have two Triceratops repaints and a bunch of toy-only species in the Roar Strikers assortment. I can understand not giving us (again) certain film species like Stygimoloch, Baryonyx or Stegosaurus since we already got quite the amount of those in previous toy lines, but for others that barely got any release (like Nasutoceratops) you are left wondering why the heck they don't have a toy in this line instead of toy-only species number 453 or repaint number 1003.

Maybe they are saving some for the 2023 line?

Sorry to hear that, being sick sucks so much.

My BBTS order of the Grant and Kayla set is shipping soon, they should be in stores I would assume fairly quickly. Little disappointed in the Pyro still after the awesome feathered Therizinosaurus.

I still have the leak images somewhere, there is an adult Nasutocaeratops on that, I think it's a male or female the sculpt is slightly different from the BaBR release.

Everything we've seen so far is only up to Quarter 2 or 3..no idea yet what's coming for Q4.

I'm still waiting for a re-release of the Scutosaurus and Gasosaurus that barely had any distribution.

Faelrin

BBTS has new in hand images of the Grant & Dimetrodon, and Kayla & Pyroraptor sets. While the Pyroraptor could have been much more film accurate (wings!), I think this will do fine for now to tide me over until I get either the Takara Tomy one or eventually a HC version I hope. Also has both those sets in stock for now. Must have got them early, which is nice. The sail on the Dimetrodon looks brighter then expected but I wonder if the lighting is at play. Otherwise I still want it of course.

Assuming both are still in stock when I get my new card, I'll try to order them.

Also out of curiosity the Mattel Creations Malcolm is still up for sale. Huh. Glad to see it has good supply on it though.

Also a bunch more reveals and some in box images for the other human sets coming later.

These came from Toyopololis:

https://www.toyopolis.com/collections/jurassic-world-dominion/products/jurassic-world-human-dino-pack-owen-parasaurolophus

https://www.toyopolis.com/collections/jurassic-world-dominion/products/jurassic-world-human-dino-pack-maisie-mirror-dino

https://www.toyopolis.com/collections/jurassic-world-dominion/products/jurassic-world-human-dino-pack-dr-ian-malcolm-velociraptor

They also have the Grant & Kayla sets up now too:

https://www.toyopolis.com/collections/jurassic-world-dominion/products/jurassic-world-dominion-human-dino-pack-dr-alan-grant-dimetrodon

https://www.toyopolis.com/collections/jurassic-world-dominion/products/jurassic-world-human-dino-pack-kayla-pyroraptor

I think the Parasaurolophus looks much better here then when it was initially revealed. Also while I did wonder why its body was black instead of tan, like in the render for example, I did notice there was one with this coloration in the trailer, so it is likely based on that individual. That said I do hope we get a repaint of the HC Parasaurolophus in the coloration of the tan one.

Also lastly some new Legacy Collection reveals (not all that exciting though, and pics from Collect Jurassic as usual):

And basic Edmontosaurus:

avatar_Blade-of-the-Moon @Blade-of-the-Moon , avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin, just a cold that struck a bit too hard for a few days. I´m fine, but thank you. :)

I really whish that we got a sound strike Parasaurolophus with the new colors instead of that small figure with another Owen.

Funny, the basic Edmontosaurus is larger and better scaled with the rest of the mainline...

What are the reddish raptor and green Gallimimus supposed to represent?

That Dilophosaurus on the other hand... A bit of a shame on the lackluster paint on the frill because the rest of its body paint is the closest thing we got to the OG Dilophosaurus.
