Glad to see a company finally make the JP3 style rex. Felt Nanmu's JP green variant rex was too skinny and not enough bulk to represent the JP3 rex and Nanmu's upcoming buck does not share the same coloration as the JP3 rex. Papo's is just in a standing pose, which in my opinion doesn't make a good use for having a diorama with the Spinosaurus.

Something I noticed though, is this also a reveal for a new Spinosaurus? Looks different compared to their current one (positioning of the arms and coloration). I don't mind a new Spinosaurus by W-Dragon, but others may complain if they have the now "old" one I guess.

Pass for me, unless I do end up getting Nanmu's or W-Dragon's Spinosaurus. Still looks great and I can't wait to see dioramas of it.

I wish W-Dragon would make smaller, cheaper figures at like 1:50 scale. I cant afford the current ones

Yeah, it's a brand new Spinosaurus and way more accurate!
I was hoping for a painted version of Rexy.. maybe next year?

Awesome! Yeah I always found W-dragon's Spinosaurus to lack in screen accurate color scheme.
If W-dragon were to remake their take on "Rexy" I would buy it in a heart beat. I don't like Nanmu's pose...

They posted this repaint of their bronze version of Rexy and man, looks perfect:

When, W-Dragon?? WHEN???
(and where did you found that Rex pic?)

That does look beautiful! Looks large though, do you know the scale of that statue/figure?

Also, found the image of the rex on instagram, forget the exact profile but they also had the image you posted featuring the rex and spino.

It is 1/35, 37.5cm (more accurate than Nanmu one)

I'm waiting for their JP2/3/W Velociraptors to fit with the Iron Studio ones.

I don't know, Indoraptor is bigger than a simple Velociraptor, so maybe they'll still do them in 1/10.
I did not buy their 1/8 Deinonychus (a JP3 Velociraptor in fact) because it was way too expansive (450 dollars OO).
I hope they will be cheaper.

avatar_blnadal @blnadal Thank you. Also I looked up on Dan's site the original statue of Rexy by Wdragon, $200+ for it. I can't imagine the price of the repaint....

So is the 1/15th scale Indoraptor PVC or polyresin? Dan's has it listed for $249, and says it's a "Fully Finished Resin Figure"...

I'm not sure, the details he posted are the first I've seen anywhere. I'm waiting to see if Lana posts it up.  That price though..I feel W-Dragon is slightly overpriced? Not outrageously so, but they seem to be on the high end of every item's value.  For example Nanmu's Once and Future King,  119.00 and it will probably be about the same size. Granted WD will have a base too I guess.
Perhaps it's part of their licensing to avoid competing with Mattel? I was under the impression their unlicensed "inspired" JP figures were more towards the high end of Papo prices (scaled up for their slightly larger size)?

I think you are most likely right avatar_stargatedalek @stargatedalek

If you look at some of their past figures/statues compared to some of their recents, the price has definitely increased due to their official license pickup. For example, their (unlicensed) JP inspired Tyrannosaurus is $90 on Dan's (of course sold out as it was last year release) and their recent (sold out in June) bronze rex is $200+. Both are the same scale (1/35) and I don't think bronze would really hike up the price by that much. Even stated to be an official JP license statue. Even compared to the Brachiosaurus, which is 1/35, their recent licensed or official JP stuff is more expensive.

Part of the greater expense is also going to be that all these licensed models are done in Polyresin. In my experience on the Kaiju collecting side, resin is way more expensive than solid PVC or hollow vinyl figures. Same size figures, sometimes the exact same figure, in resin will cost something like half again more than it does in vinyl.
