Just noticed that Postimage appears to have stopped working again. Has anyone else experienced problems in seeing the thread photos again?

Crackington

Very odd, the Postimage pictures are appearing again. Was getting a bit worried there..

personally i dont like the fact that you cant just upload straight to the page instead of having to have some photos in another websites that most likely you have to sign up or be a member...dont get why this forum wont update the feature making it easy to post photos and videos straight to the page just like most other websites....

In my limited experience, this seems to be the rule for small forums run for love, as opposed to giant ad machines like Twitter, Reddit, FB. Hosting images takes a lot of bandwidth, and I don't know what it would cost to host the images for all users.

How do you share images from your phone without a url? And not use image host site.

To my knowledge sharing pictures here without an image host site is not possible.

I transfer mine from the phone to postimage.org and then paste the link into my posts.

you are gonna need a image host like postimage to do things right.
but you can also use reddit, though not as efficient

I'm unable to post images from my Flickr account since the forum changes. When I press the "insert an image icon, it comes up "URL" and I don't know how to get from there to posting an image. What am I missing? There used to be an icon on the left side of the bar that was straightforward.

Faelrin

S @SidB Are you able to get the direct image links from Flickr at all? I don't use it myself, but do use imgur which has such a feature, where I can copy that link into the URL: field to post my images.

From the image itself on Flickr, I activated "copy image address", but I don't know what to do at the DTF end to get it to download. Press the icon, up come the URL request, which has me baffled. Other options on the Flickr image screen are: "copy image" and "create QR code".

ceratopsian

I use Flickr S @SidB and have had no problem. All you need to do is "paste" when the Forum asks for the URL. Then the "copy image address" code will magically appear.

THANKS, avatar_ceratopsian @ceratopsian , that did work like 'magic'! Much appreciated.

Oh I'm glad to see avatar_ceratopsian @ceratopsian was able to get your issue resolved S @SidB

Wrap it in img tags and it will appear, as per the instructions in the first post of this thread: https://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=173.msg2836#msg2836

I think I need to update the instructions, because the quick new way to add the img tags is to click the image icon, and paste the image url in the url field, then click insert.

It will appear like so:

S @stoneage you can copy and paste what I type below:
[img]https://i.postimg.cc/HLXVscBz/Shelf-2.jpg[/img]

And it will give you:

I know, i tried to insert a picture but by the option INSERT I can only inset url directions. Please can you help me how to insert pictures in my posts?
Here's something that works for me. Upload your images on imgur( through the pc or phone) and then look up said images on your post gallery. When you find said images, just copy and paste the fourm link so it appears here.

Hope this helps

Jergi

I'll try to paste something here as a test.
