Hopefully, the dinos & other species in Dinosaur are better-looking/more accurate than those in Stephen Fry's other dino media ;) The Deadline description reminds me of the 2nd video in particular:

Saw this trailer pop-up this morning. Surprised it hasn't already been discussed here yet.

In my opinion this looks great, but I have questions/concerns for some of the designs.

DinoToyForum

CGI looks a bit shonky... more 1995 than 2022! Although the trailer resolution is very low so difficult to say.

Looks ok but I'm kinda bored of talking head documentaries.

I thought the same thing. However, I can't find this trailer anywhere else? So the CGI quality is hard to tell. Guess we'll have to wait.

So, after watching it a few times, I have to say the designs are really my only concerns. I could care less about the CGI quality, but design choices seem "iffy"

- No lips present on Tyrannosaurus

- *Thankfully* small mohawks present on
the dromaeosaurs

- Triceratops build reminds me of a 90s reconstruction (JP-like build)

- Constant roaring

Again, minor concerns. I'd say the sauropod roaring is the worst of the offenders, but it could just be the sound of another carnivore roaring dubbed over the sauropod clip. The lack of lips is fine with me as it is debatable; however, given Prehistoric Planet's success, I am surprised they didn't add them. Also, I want to note about the mohawks on the dromaeosaurs, they are somewhat present but very small. I don't think they're not plausible but the constant use of them in previous media makes it feel like a drag.

Anyways, I am still excited for this. We're really living in the golden age of dinosaur media/documentaries! My big desire for this documentary is to see decent amount of European prehistoric animals, and hopefully the popular fauna does not outshine them.

Looks painfully average, but I suppose any dinosaur documentary following Prehistoric Planet would. Stephen Fry being attached has me hopeful but that's all it has going for it.

The CGI isn't as glorious as that of Prehistoric Planet, but I'll not turn my nose up at a documentary presenting the latest science. And Stephen Fry is a lovely human being.

It looks like we are back to the 2000s with Nigel Marvin and Jurassic Fight Club again ...  ::) ... but the CGI 20 years ago from Walking with Dinosaurs was much better.

Shrinkwrapping, roaring, incorrect wing folding in pterosaurs, calling them "scariest creatures", showing a children book, starting in a London taxi (WHY DO English documentaries start in a taxi in London, or in a London museum or in a London street?)

I didn't realize that Stephan Fry narrated March of the Dinosaurs. I remember watching it but it was...forgettable.

I might just re-watch Prehistoric Planet.
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

While I probably wouldn't expect something the level and budget of Prehistoric Planet, the CGI there is looking incredibly dated for 2022. I've seen fan made things with far better models, and animations, despite a lack of budget. Not really a fan of the nonsense mammalian styled roaring dinosaurs either, or treating these animals like they are monsters. This isn't the Jurassic World franchise.

Edit: Not just subpar animation either, but inaccurate/outdated models, etc as well.

OOF that CGI integration is rough...

at least some of the animal designs themselves are decent
Shrek 4 is an underrated masterpiece

Has heavy 2000s Vibes. Everything was already said before. I like new Takes on this topic, but this reall looks like a typical roaring and fighting monsters who will win?!?!?! Documentatin from the 2010s. We'll see, but i have to say, that i am not that interested in what i see.
