Offhand, some of my favorites include...

Ophiacodon
Inostrancevia
Estemmenosuchus
Tiktaalik
Eusthenopteron
Tyrannosaurus
Leaellynasaura
Brontosaurus
Dreadnoughtus

Pliosaurking

Carcharodontosaurus sounds awesome, and means Shark Toothed Lizard! Can't get much better than that!
Tyrannosaurus Rex sounds very cool and imposing and the name is very fitting!
Suchomimus has always been a favourite name of mine, being named Crocodile Mimic is pretty cool!

Concavenator

I would say...

Yutyrannus
Deinonychus
Suchomimus
Zhenyuanlong
Megaraptor
Borealopelta
Brontosaurus

The first five names you list aren't dinosaurs (Eusthenopteron and Tiktaalik were tetrapod ancestors).

BlueKrono

Please excuse the non-dinosaurs:

Aquila
Miragaia
Skorpiovenator
Euparkeria
Kaikaifilu
Yi Qi
Marrella

I always liked Chirostenotes.  When I first heard the name I read it meant 'elegant limb' but it doesn't, it means 'narrow hand'.   But I still like the name.

Yes, I know that, but I like the names anyway and I don't think the thread was meant to be taken so literally. I've seen a few other non-dinosaurs listed here by others too.

triceratops83

I've got a strange appreciation for classic four-syllable names -
Allosaurus
Brontosaurus
Stegosaurus
Triceratops
Iguanodon
Diplodocus
Pteranodon
Pliosaurus
...and so on.
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

Duck

Tyrannosaurus and Dreadnoughtus are my two favorites

Honorable mention to Lythronax for the meaning
He who dwells in pond

Ikessauro

Fun thread

As a Brazilian, I have a few names from animals found here that I think are quite cool;

Staurikosaurus, which I find sounds pleasant to my ears and means "Southern Cross Lizard" in respect to it being found in the southernmost state of Brazil, a place where that constelation can be seen.

Spectrovenator: meaning "Ghost Hunter" as it was a predator found hidden underneath a sauropod skeleton, as if it was haunting the herbivore.

Gnathovorax: meaning "Voracious Jaws", quite descriptive.

Vespersaurus: meaning "Western lizard". Its name uses the word Vesper which can also be translated as "Evening" and that combined with the fact the sun sets in the West, we could call this dino the "Sunset Lizard" which is way cooler than "Western Lizard". And since it was discovered in the ancient remains of a paleodesert, I like to picture it in my mind strolling on sand dunes during a colorful cretaceous sunset in the Caiuá Desert.

Irritator is an interesting name to me because it is very different, but I find is more sad than cool, since the fossil was illegally smugled out of my country. So I could say it is doubly irritating to me.

Austroposeidon is another one I find cool.

Banguela: to me as a Portuguese native speaker, Banguela is quite funny, as it means "toothless" in my language and I always picture an old lady without any teeth when I hear the word.

Thanos: haha, so funny. Don't even have to explain.

Kurupi itaata: kinda weird having a dinosaur named after an indigenous fertility god, loosely meaning "rock-hard sex god" because it was found near a love motel. Can't believe this name to this day  :P

I guarantee that was intended as a joke.

avatar_Thialfi @Thialfi I also like indigenous names, even (especially?) when I have to do some research to figure out how to pronounce them. Mnyamawamtuka, anyone?
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

Dyscrasia

Tyrannosaurus not only because it is the name of one of the most iconic dinosaur ever, but the name itself is incredibly memorable.

Some other names I really like are
Kakuru
Nanuqsaurus
Mei long
Dreadnoughtus (a fitting name for a true titan of a dinosaur)

Remko

My favorites:

Zuul crurivastator "Zuul, Breaker of Shins".

And of course, this:
Dynamosaurus imperiosus which could have been the original name for the animal we now know as Tyrannosaurus rex. But as the later name was published slightly earlier, rules state it's the correct one.

But luckily we found another Tyrannosaurid later: Dynamoterror dynastes. So we kind of have the name.
But to be fair, most tyrannosaurids have cool sounding names:

Lythronax ("Gore king")
Teratophoneus ("Monstrous murderer")
Tarbosaurus ("Alarming reptile")

Megacervixosaurus  :)) Yes I have a teenager sense of humor.

Not a dinosaur but I really get a kick out of the fact that the first known sexually reproducing organism (red algae from 1 billion years ago) is named
Bangiomorpha.

The name Mnyamawamtuka means "beast of the Mtuka river drainage" in the Kiswahili language. Likewise, the ornithopod name Iyuku means "hatchling" in the Xhosa language spoken in South Africa.

Bowhead Whale

I think the bird named "Confuciusornis" has the smoothest sounded name of all, especially when pronounced in french (my native language).

Shrek 4 is an underrated masterpiece

Papi-Anon

I can top all your answers with one ancient creature:

Koolasuchus.

It's is phonetically and literally the 'koolest' name out there.
