Not working for me either.

picked up these Deep Time Rex and Spino scaled replica skulls

These look very good! Congrats. If it weren't for the Rebor Diplodoci I would've thought that they're life size they look so detailed.  :)

Thank you.  They are 3D printed I think? Lightweight but lots of detail.  With the 50% off coupon I posted they were only 75.00 each.

Quote from: SidB on January 22, 2024, 06:30:46 AMThat's quite a paint job!

It's a bit based on Shane's original with a few tweaks. Joe did a great job. :)

Bread

That is a fantastic piece! Congratulations! Although dead, the amphibian looks super appealing.

How did you go about contacting Joe if you don't mind me asking?

Thank you, they both did very well on it in terms of sculpt and paint. I recall when Shane mentioned years back when he was going to do this Baryonyx piece hunting a giant amphibian I had this mental image of a big action scene with an amphibian half the size of the Baryonyx fighting with it lol I have no basis for thinking that just what jumped to my mind lol I really hope Shane continues to release more new pieces.

Shane actually put me in touch with him. He said he was booked into summer but I can PM you his email if you want.

Been working with a forum artist to make a background for my river crossing dio, what do you guys think?

Halichoeres

They did a nice job! I like that they incorporated the next bend in the river.
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

Glad you like it. I designed the initial sketch and I tend to second guess myself. I think it will add a lot to the overall look?

Joliezac

This is the most beautiful diorama I've ever seen, wow! So many details and movement. The background really brings it together. I like that the sky is dark and not bright or sunny.

Thank you. :) The idea  I had was for a flash flood from a passing storm that is just now moving away. Tomas did a fantastic job pulling it all together.

ceratopsian

I think it adds atmosphere to an already superb diorama. Love the colour palette of the background.

Arrived just in time for my birthday!! Creative Beast Studio Allosaurus (my fav dino) , Deinonychus and this really cool blue mouthed Dilophosaurus.  Sold by DansDinosaurs.com

Few quick notes. Man I LOVE this Allosaurus, yeah it's the same color as Rebor's version and it does have many of the same faults as the previous tyrannosaurs but it does seem better in a couple aspects, the joints seem nicer in the neck and arms, still pretty limited in movement though. It's ALLOSAURUS so it get's a pretty big pass. The detail in the head and the "bird" looks you can put it into are pretty cool, for example by just cocking the head it looks curious.

Dilo is pretty nice, love the blue mouth paint from the hips highlighting the fuzz should have been extended further onto the torso on mine. I know it has lips but  I miss the little notch in the mouth typical of past Dilophosaurus reconstructions. It actually looks more like the JP version now lol Need to try and fit Nedry in there..

Deinonychus is ok, I know it's in scale but it feels a bit bland with no real washes or blending and the head really could be any other dromaeosaur at least to me?  Posing is pretty limited, I did my best to put it in the same pose as Mattel's Pyroraptor. Marginal success, it isstanding on it's own as will the Dilo and Allo is in just the right pose..but do NOT leave them without support.

I love what David is doing but I do still wish he could take a page or two from Mattel's playbook. Lighter bodies, more versatile joints, ect.. then we really would have the BEST articulated dino toys.
