Quote from: Blade-of-the-Moon on December 05, 2023, 04:14:22 AMSaw the same two white Trikes and alone Neovenator today. Lots of new Allosaurus, recent Carno and that yellow/cream Rex with tracking gear.

Yup, saw those as well. Not interested in any of them. Looking for the Ekrixinatosaurus and Gryposuchus.

might get the Ekrixinatosaurus? I need to see it person. That HC Carno kinda beat anything else abelisaur-wise from Mattel for me. lol

I feel the exact same way. Before getting the HC Carno I had planned on getting the Ekrixinatosaurus , now I'm not so sure. I haven't written it off completely but I would at least like to see it in person. Even if I decide I want it I would still wait for it to be on sale before buying it. I'll happily pay full price for the Gryposuchus though.

I really don't know anything about the Gryposuchus to be honest, it's the first time I'm hearing about the animal. I recall Rebor made an Ekrixinatosaurus. just took their Disney Carno and removed the horns. I didn't bother with it then.

I don't know much about it either but the toy is cool looking and I'm always down for more crocodilians.

The running change on the Trike is a verifiable pain in the rear.
Now I have to run around before the grey one, which imho is the superior one vanishes.

"HAMMOND'S NEXT MOVE! Recent system listings confirm the next two figures to join the Jurassic World Hammond Collection figures. Velociraptor isn't too much of a surprise considering @mattel loves their raptor repaints, but an ultra-articulated Pyroraptor? Sigh me up!" - Collect Jurassic

It's interesting seeing how much Mattel improved the molding quality on their minis. Recall how the Yangchuanosaurus mini from the first JWD had muddled undefined textures, while the detail on these more recent waves have been very crisp.

Faelrin

Delta will probably use the new Blue sculpt. Hope the color will be like the AC figure. That said still fine with my 2020 Savage Strike figure, so I'll probably pass on this one. Pyroraptor is the one I'm curious about. Now's their chance to fix the sculpt to be more accurate to the final film design, since the original was designed off earlier concept art. That means lips, and proper full wings. I mean if Takara Tomy and Captivz could get it right, then Mattel absolutely needs to do so as well.

If they get it right I will definitely get it, since I was hoping since the HC launched back in 2022 for them to do this one.

Wave 2 toys are now into the spotlight. Meet Epic Evolution Danger Pack Kileskus and Craterosaurus;

Mattel's choice of obscure, fragmentary species will always be a mystery to me. But on the other hand, I like how Mattel is using their influence and the fame of the Jurassic World franchise to introduce these obscure species.

Really like Mattel's stegosaurids. Really like the sculpt and the colour scheme chosen.

Carnoking

Craterosaurus looks pretty strong for that price bracket

Blade-of-the-Moon

Kileskus is such an odd mix of feathers, scales and osteoderms..nicely detailed but..odd.

If the Cratorosaurus' back leg was just yellow too.

Flaffy

The most shocking part about this latest reveal is the fact that the Kileskus has a fully painted tail, right up to the tip. Not even the much praised HC Carnotaurus can claim such a rare and prestegious title O:-)

avatar_Flaffy @Flaffy The belly doesn't appear to be painted, but otherwise yeah that is very strange. Just the usual annoying cost cutting measures.

avatar_Flaffy @Flaffy sent these to my current residence, and though I sent him a message just prior with these pics for him to pick and choose of the two sets he prefers, I figured I should share these here too, in case people want a good look at these. More specifically these are the new mini Indoraptor & Geosternbergia, and mini Sinotyrannus & Kaprosuchus sets.

A few things to note is that none of these have jaw articulation. The Sinotyrannus would have made the most sense for it, but it appears to not have it. The Geosternbergia surprisingly has eye paint. The Kaprosuchus on the other hand does not. Its color also deviates quite a bit from the new mainline figure, but like not as much as this year's, or almost last year's Kentrosaurus did.

Blade-of-the-Moon

Got my set from Amazon, cool to finally get the Einiosaurus and this sets vehicle feels a bit like a tribute to the LW Hummer vehicle.

Faelrin

I didn't have the money for them on hand, but my local walmart had both the new minty and grey Triceratops (one of each). I got some pics. They had about one case of the medium electronic ones, and those two Triceratops and two Neovenator figures. No luck on the Eoraptor, etc still. I mostly got some pics of the product codes on the bottom of the packaging for this thread and the Dinotoycollector lol, but I think I took at least one of the two Triceratops together. The last time we had some variation like this was with the orange tiger raptors in early 2021 I think? I'll take a look on my phone later and get them up here tomorrow as it is getting pretty late, and I'm off to bed real soon, but I wanted to report on this before I forgot of course.

I saw both white and mint Trikes at Target today, still no real interest in buying either though.

Faelrin

Alright here's the pic of the two I got together (if anyone seriously wants the pics of the codes, I'll post them too, lol). It didn't occur to me to get images of the backs of the packaging, but as one can see, they are distinct. The product codes are the same however which is strange, but I'm guessing there will be a different production stamp on each of the figures like the raptors.
