I have a lot of nostalgia for those Castagna statues. My father had the whole set! The Pteranodon is my favorite, and very tempting.

Interestingly, none reviewed on the blog yet!

Edit: but they have been discussed on the forum before:  https://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=9152.0

Yeah, their absence on the blog might motivate me to get them, some day.

Blade-of-the-Moon

Bought a Pteranodon one. I'm a sucker for retro Pterosaurs, the monstrous leather kites taken to the air...lol

I've bought things just to review on the blog, but they tend to languish because I can't muster as much enthusiasm for them.

I have some such packages that I haven't even opened yet, in some cases for years! I was saving them for a Youtube unboxing that never came. I'll unbox them eventually on the blog, by which time I'll have forgotten what's in them myself so I'll be as surprised as the viewers!

I had this set sometime ago described in my post - that looks like a bargain price.

I hear that meme a lot in a VR game I play. But that's my only knowledge of it!

In my defence, I didn't plan to keep them in their packages for years! Weeks became months became years, I just hope it doesn't become decades! :))

Is anyone familiar with the work of Louis Paul Jonas? This one's a snip ( ;) ) at $2,500! But I guess it is a unique piece: https://www.ebay.com/itm/355942877033

Blade-of-the-Moon

I'm thinking that was a mass produced smaller replica model of one he sculpted to base the life size piece on. To me it's pretty overpriced and it's not one of his more popular pieces.

BlueKrono

I can't say I am, but that might be the highest priced dino figure I've ever seen. Even beats out the bronze statues. All in all it seems rather... underwhelming to me.

I remember posting some picture in response to demarco's notes about jonas's sinclair set.
I don't remember where it was.

In any case , pictures of his medium sized set are here.
