Deinonychus!

Hello! Most of my collection is in storage as of right now (I moved recently) but I do have some figures out as of right now. Most of it is Mattel Jurassic World, but I have plenty of old chinasaurs and such from my childhood and a few Safari LTD and Schleich figures here and there.

Ok, I figured out how to paste in images from Flickr. Cool. This is my Safari LTD Deinonychus, I got her as a birthday present. Her name is Onyx.

Safari's Deinonychus may be the best maniraptoran in my collection (sorry BOtM) It's just so elegant and bird-like. I love it!

Agreed, one of Safari Ltd and sculptor avatar_Doug Watson @Doug Watson's best!

A very nice Deinonychus! Hope you can liberate your other friends from storage soon!

Welcome to the forum!  :)

And Safari's Deinonychus is just great. I personally consider it one of the most important dino-figure releases in recent times, being the first good figure of such an important discovery for the history of paleontology. So it kind of represents a milestone! Naturally, Safari's dromaeosaurids are top-notch stuff.

Will you get either of Creative Beast's upcoming Deinonychus as well?

I'm not quite sure just yet. I don't really have anywhere I would put one as of right now (unless I keep it in its box I guess). They both look very nice though, as does the Utahraptor! And I might end up having shelves in once they come out.

This next figure is not a dinosaur in the slightest, and is instead a mammal - Uintatherium! I don't know how I know that. In fact, I have no idea where this even came from. I just kinda found it in a box of random objects.

..but wait, what's that blue creature in the background..?

Halichoeres

The Jaru Uintatherium! One of their better products.

Is the blue thing a jabberwock? A Vermicious Knid? Slenderman?

POPOSAURUS ATTACK!!!
The animal in the background of the last image was the one and only Poposaurus, a genus that I had never heard of before until acquiring it!

So far it's one if my favorites in the whole collection, with its blue scales and red-orange tail stripes.

I mean, just look at that face. He's fabulous. I've named him Gerald.

crazy8wizard

I'm very glad to hear that this figure is introducing people to Poposaurus as a genus. Basal Paracrocs are hard to come by in figure form but also this genus is local to me! I've been itching for any representation of the Popo Agie formation and for extra Chinle fauna.

Deinonychus!

This next animal is the Jurassic World Avaceratops, which despite its monochrome coloration is one of the coolest looking figures in my collection. I have named him Bison.

Actually, i think this color scheme might help him look more interesting - his face looks like a skull!

This is definitely an imposing figure, especially when paired with other similarly sized animals.

Those horns make him well suited to chase off Gerald!

The Poposaurus is one of my favorite Mattel figures!

Today's post is a double feature, as I have two figures with the same mold- that being one that vaguely resembles a bipedal Parasaurolophus.

This first one is a vibrant orange, and in a few spots you can see yellow highlights.
Here is its sibling, with a warm gray and delightful yellow & red striped tail that reminds me of a coral snake.
And here's the other side. There's not a lot of detail on their sculpts, but the back scales remind me of a crocodile.
As you can see on its face here, these beasts have sharp triangular teeth. Not very well suited for eating plants, are they.. These guys aren't scientifically accurate in the slightest, but i like them. They're weird in a good way.

Stegotyranno420

i remember him. It was a nice figure for children to play with. The no-brands always have such an unique allure

Deinonychus!

This next figure is one of my favorites, the Terra Battat Carnotaurus. Her name is Concrete.

She has a nice bumpy texture, feels very good. I like it. If you look closely on her tail, there's some subtle stripes. I always seem to really like dinosaur figures with tail stripes. She also has a nice patch of red on her throat which adds a nice pop of color.

crazy8wizard

Love the Battat Carnotaurus but don't look at its face from the front...

Elengassen

This paint job is definitely an improvement on the colour scheme of the original Battat Carnotaurus, striking though that one is. Also it's a refreshing departure from the red Carnotaurus meme  ;)
One day we will know the truth about Spinosaurus... but not today.

I remember having that grey Parasaurolophus (minus the red on the tail) as a young kid, about 6 or 7, and I remember using it as a Charonosaurus
