You might be thinking of the banner thread. I agree though, Mattel needs representation. Offhand I would at least like to see the Giganotosaurus and Diplodocus on there.

I don't disagree about the Mattel reps, but wanted to see what the folks here had in mind before adding anything to the starting list. I'll go and add those though. I'm still a bit unsure what I want to vote for.

I'm also unsure of what I want to vote for. I know that Mattel toys won't get many votes from me even though I collect them. HLG and PNSO will make up the bulk of my selections.

Safari is most definetly still in the business of making kids toys. Haolonggood and PNSO have both realized that adults are their primary market, and shifted quality standards accordingly.

Well, that's something to be sure. But it seems that the old days of Safari or even Carnegie/Safari dominance are over. At least for the immediate future.

@Faelrin, I think a week for the suggestion phase will suffice.  I'm sure all figures worth putting in the poll will be listed in this timeframe.  But do what you think is best.

I definitely don't see how the Mattel Bajadasaurus makes this list with its next to nonexistent paint deco applications. Its wavemate, the Mapusaurus, might not be paleoaccurate but it is a better figure in terms of deco application for sure, and its proportions make sense.

I think the HC Therizinosaurus, Scutosaurus, Allosaurus, and the rubber Carnotaurus would make better additions, along with their Ceratosuchops, as well as the Gryposuchus,Kaprosuchus,Poposaurus, Rauisuchus and the Ekrixinatosaurus would be good additions as well.

E @Eatmycar It makes the list because someone (if not others) wants to vote for it. I've taken your suggestions into account, and decided I might as well expand it. Decided I'd add the rest of the mainline Mattel unique species (so no repaints or retools, unless mentioned like your Carnotaurus suggestion, or completely new designs, like the Chaos Theory Majungasaurus, etc), and HC released this year. I've decided to separate the Eoraptor and Stegouros, in case one wants to vote for one, but not the other (although they come in a two pack). Only the Guanlong is listed, as the Lystrosaurus it was packed with was a repack or re-release. I somewhat doubt a good number of these will receive any votes, but it doesn't hurt to have them present to cover all bases I guess.

Back to the Mattel figures, does anyone know if the Huayangosaurus, Suchomimus, Styxosaurus, and Thapunngaka were available before January? I know the HC Atrociraptor, Scutosaurus, and juvenile Triceratops were spotted at Ross stores and/or available on Amazon before the new year. I know BBTS got the Huayangosaurus and Thapunngaka in stock, but don't remember if it was before the new year or shortly after.

I've also gone ahead and added the new Recur figures, including the two sets. They've upped their sculpting game, so I imagine there might be some folks interested in voting for some of them, if any.
